What’s up you sophisticated sex machines? Feeling the pressure of injuries? Has ineffectiveness spread beyond your work day to your fantasy team? Not enough ineffectiveness at work (you overachieving bastard)? Never fear, as I am here for your stream options whenever you find yourself up the proverbial creek sans paddle. Greetings! Is it Week 3, already?! Holy O’hemlock, time is flying by, yet it’s frozen for me somehow. As I lay here, chest’a-flat on this one of a kind gargoyle-engraved marble bench in the depths of Beddict manor, I can’t help but question some of my life choices as I ponder my next move. I envision that many of you may feel the same way: Did you marry the right squaw/man? Why did you let him/her talk you into that third pet, or third child for that matter? Why is your son a quarter black? Why are you in that cubicle, working for some filth you despise, checking your Facebook account every five minutes, wondering if you should buy that seemingly incredibly crafted waist-trainer for your significant other? Would that make you want to bang him/her again? Probably not, but it’s something to waste more meaningless time with, giving you a glimmer of hope that one day, MAYBE, possibly, you could make love to your mate again and not have to envision some celebrity, hot third cousin, or you children’s friends or whatever sick fetish that is now festering inside you like a rotting, maggot-infested weasel corpse. Anyway, who’s ready for some football?

It’s late so I’m going to keep it short! (That’s what she said!)

It’s a Week 3 preview brought to you by Zach and myself. There’s a lot of promising match-ups for offenses that have struggled to this point in the season and we explore that and more!

A wiser fella once said, sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes, well, the bar eats you. As you can see above and as I alluded to with one of the great colloquialisms ever known to man, perhaps the universe itself (FAR OUT, DUDE), we took a step back in our Week 2 Rankings. And that’s okay! I mean, it’s not that okay, we do care about how we guide your strategy, your players, ultimately your teams… but as many of the longtime readers will attest, generally when I receive middling results, the lede gets wishy-washy with a slight apologetic tone and a hint of lilac. As I wrote about last season, my ranking process is pretty ludicrous when you think about it, so when I deconstruct what went wrong, it generally becomes a bigger mess. Like the messes I’ve made in life, anything can be solved with a wet wash cloth and a lot of faith. I immediately regret sharing that. What I mean to say is, weeks like this happen, and all we can do is starve ourselves for the entire week so a bar seems not just edible, but also a mediocre source of fiber. So let’s start Week 3 and eat that bar duuuude…

Another week of the NFL season is in the books, and we have a few more developments at the running back position to keep an eye on. There are a few injuries hitting the wire this week, and out in Seattle, a youngster is outplaying some familiar names. Over in Philadelphia, the guy who is supposed to be the lead back barely saw the field…

It’s hard to believe that it’s already Week 3, but we also need to remember that it is ONLY Week 3. Human instinct tells you to sell off or drop your struggling assets because they haven’t helped you win in the first couple weeks. Mike Lombardi states it best when he says that September is basically an extended preseason. I try not to overreact to bad performances when I’m writing my articles this early in the season. When I tell you I’m cold on Cam Newton or another star, it’s just to have them wait it out on the bench.

There are always certain situations like Adrian Peterson that were head-scratching from the start. Having three backs rotating on the field in a pass heavy offense doesn’t make any sense. I’d drop him, at this point because there are always exceptions to the rule. Obviously, there are always guys who were on the fringe of being roster-worthy in the first place that should be dropped to pick up waiver wire studs like Tarik Cohen. Don’t panic on A.J. Green or Joe Mixon until we see what the new offensive coordinator has in store. Wait to see if Sammy Watkins can develop a rhythm with Jared Goff over the next three or so weeks. Same with Isaiah Crowell, his schedule is going to get a little easier over the next few weeks. This is also the perfect time of year to buy low on the Cincinnati offense or Terrelle Pryor Sr.

Here are my rankings for Week 3…

What’s going on everybody, and welcome to another edition of my weekly rankings! Well we have another full slate on our hands, now with the 9:30 am EST start time in London between the Jaguars and Ravens, so make sure you wake up a little earlier than usual to tinker with those lineups.

Week 2 was definitely head and shoulders above the first week of the season, so let’s take a look at what Week 3 has to offer, but before we do, let’s recap the week that was!

Hopefully you took my advice from last week’s post and grabbed Chris Thompson. He was the fifth highest scoring running back with 25.9 points in PPR leagues. Tarik Cohen also had himself a day against the Bucs. The loss of WR Kevin White lead to Cohen getting 8 receptions again. Mohamed Sanu again had a pretty nice game with 13.5 points against Green Bay. And even old dog Philip Rivers had another 17+ point day for the Chargers.

Below you’ll find your under-owned players who you should either grab for this week — or for the long term. If you’ve got any league-specific questions, hit me up in the comments section!

Well the top guys of a week ago did not live up to their hype, did they?  Here are their stats from Week 2:

Javorius Allen – 5 Rec, 35 yards, 66 rush yards, 1 TD.

Kerwynn Williams – 22 rush yards.

Kenny Golladay – 1 Rec, 8 yards.

Tarik Cohen – 8 Rec, 55 yds, 13 rush yards, 1 fumble lost.

Nelson Agholor – 1 Rec, 9 yards, 1 TD.

Williams was quiet this week as the Cardinals looked bad against Indy and Chris Johnson definitely took carries. The whole Cardinals offense still doesn’t look right; let’s hope they get back on track Week 3 but Johnson & Ellington were on the field in overtime and that worries me. On the bright side: Williams is also their return man to add to his value. Don’t cut bait after one week…

Allen looked good on his TD run and is settling in as Woodhead light, which is a hoppy sardines-infused dark chocolate almond butter IPA with less calories. Flacco likes to throw so Allen should remain a flex play, although West is still the bellcow there.

Cohen could have looked better, but Howard was also terrible and the Bears simply got owned, so that Cohen salvaged some fantasy value is good to see. Cohen clearly benefits from being on the field for all the passing the Bears will do. So hold him if you added him last week because better days are coming.

Agholor salvaged some value catching a garbage time TD (though based on that score the Eagles actually had a chance to win (on a Hail Mary), so was it really in garbage time?)

Crowd chants: “WE WANT JEN! WE WANT JEN!” I know, I know, sometimes real life gets in the way. You probably woke up this morning expecting your usual Hit it or Quit it article and were disappointed to see the picture of Diddy at the top of the football blog but I promise you that we will get through this together. Jen will be back next week and if you would like to check out my regularly scheduled Monday programming, you can find it here.

And now, are you going to Hit it… or Quit it?
