DraftKings is back! And after a week where I indeed followed Nick’s advice in playing Josh Gordon, I had a really solid outing but still not the top spot in my normal $2 Fantasy Millionaire Qualifier. I still need my ticket! Week 17 is only three weeks away now, with the WEEK 17 MILLIONAIRE FINALE less than a month out. I need my fantasy sports Christmas Bonus! I need to buy myself a treadmill with all this holiday eating… I’m feeling like Willis McGahee out there! Damn, so many Browns references… Next we’ll start talking Tim Couch!
Flying back with the ghost of Christmas Past to last week’s picks:
QB – Josh McCown 23-36 355 Yds 2 TD 0 INT (25.2 Pts)
RB – Brandon Marshall 4 Rec 45 Yds (8.5 Pts)
WR – Donald Brown 54 Rush Yds 1 TD 2 Rec 10 Yds (14.4 Pts)

Welllll…. I picked the wrong mother F Bears receiver! Alshon Jeffery, Eric Decker and Josh Gordon, who was my flex, all had 50+ point DraftKings games. Wowzer! I had a lot of decent picks except my fat 0 from Gresham, and got me 196/862. Not a bad showing, but didn’t hit all 3 home-run guys. Just 1/3. I’m hitting .333! Put me in the Hall of Fame, I never took roids! Here’s who I like for week 13 in DraftKings action:
QB – Mike Glennon ($5,900) – The spend cheap on QB strategy worked well for my overall roster last week, so I’m going even cheaper this week. Glennon has been decent since taking over before getting romped by my tough Panthers last week, and playing at home (should be decent FLA weather) against a Buffalo defense that let Matt Ryan look like it was 2012 again, I think he’s a big multi-TD threat. The Bucs were playing well before hitting my buzzsaw Panthers and I think rekindle some of their winning ways from the three weeks prior.
RB – Bobby Rainey ($5,900) – What am I, a Bucs fan?! I was just so displeased with the Bills defense after calling all the Falcons a bench in Last Second Decisions, that I’m flip flopping and think Rainey can have a big week. He’s got great upside with his speed and play-making ability, and in contests with a lot of teams, you need big upside to come through.
WR – Josh Gordon ($10,000) – Opens up the big money for Gordon! Gordon this week is like seeing the chubby one at the end of the bar after getting shmammered. Everything is telling you no, but all you wanna do is say yes! Did I just hit on Josh Gordon with that statement? Maybe! I don’t like how Belichick is going to focus his defense on him, I don’t like the Talib matchup, and I don’t like freezing temperatures, but it should stay clear from rain/snow and there should be a lot of junk time like last week. Junk it up, Browns!
FLEX – Giovani Bernard ($5,500) – Sticking with guys with that upside, Bernard had 20+ point games in back-to-back weeks in week 9 and 10, before falling off. I think all that energy is still there and the Colts run D isn’t as strong as it was to start the year. Another mid-range priced RB with big upside.
