We have two new starting quarterbacks this week and we really only wanted to see one of them. Am I complaining about the Giants benching Eli? No. Eli hasn’t played well for a while and Evan Engram and co. dropping easy passes isn’t doing him any favors either. I would be more excited about the Jimmy Garappolo roll out if Pierre Garcon was healthy. Marquise Goodwin isn’t enough for Garappolo to be a fantasy relevant quarterback this season. Although, if Garappolo is able to open things up and move the ball a little bit I think that it helps Carlos Hyde find the end zone a little easier…

I love Case Keenum and Adam Thielen this week. I think that Robby Anderson is a top 10 play this week and I’m praying to the fantasy gods that he can line up against Darrelle Revis for a few plays and welcome him back to the NFL the hard way. I can’t help it but to rank Josh Gordon just outside of the top 30 this week among wide receivers. If he sees 7 or 8 targets it’s almost a given.

Speaking of Browns, I have DeShone Kizer ranked within my top 20 for quarterbacks this week. Besides having both Corey Coleman and Josh Gordon, Kizer has actually played pretty well in 2 of the last 3 games. Nobody plays that great against Jacksonville, so it’s hard to hold that against him.  Both Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead are easy plays this week. I also think that Tevin Coleman is a top 10 play as long as he is the lead back for Atlanta. Minnesota has a tough defense, but Atlanta must give Coleman work to be successful.

Sticking with Atlanta and Minnesota, I am lower on Julio Jones this week than other rankers. Julio always torches Tampa, last week doesn’t justify the rest of his ugly season. A match up against Xavier Rhodes doesn’t do Julio any favors either. I want to rank Blaine Gabbert higher than I have him ranked, but his match up makes it difficult to do so. I don’t see Marcus Mariota or Dak Prescott cracking my top 10 until they improve. I got fooled by Dak getting Tyron Smith back last week and that’s not going to happen again. The Cowboys offense doesn’t move the ball without the running game and it doesn’t help that Dez Bryant is unable to create any separation from defenders.

I think that Matt Patricia will do whatever he can to take LeSean McCoy out of the game plan which is why I have him ranked just outside of my top 10 running backs this week. It’s hard to put any trust in Kareem Hunt with the way that this offense has been operating. Whether it’s his fault or not, he falls out of my top 15 running backs for this week.
