Here at RazzballNFL, we pride ourselves for providing data and information to help you win your fantasy football leagues, no matter the format or platform.  We offer a number of unique and useful tools at https://football.razzball.com/ and the best part…most are FREE!  That’s right, we do the work, and you get to goods to helps you win.

One of our most popular tools, the Defensive Slot vs Wide tool, is a must-visit each week.  This tool breaks down how many fantasy points a defense allows to WRs from the slot vs. out wide and the percentage of the overall production that goes to the middle of the field vs. the perimeter.  This data can help you figure out which players to start each week based on where most of their production comes from (see the accompanying Wide Receiver Fantasy Points Scored Slot vs. Wide tool).

We are excited to break out a few new tools this season as well.  One is our Home/Road Player Splits tool.  As the name implies, this tool charts how many fantasy points a player scores at home vs. on the road.  Is this an important analytic?  Well, the “12th Man” fans in Seattle surely do.  Does it play in other cities?  Well, you be the judge.

Take a look at this QB table:

Of all QBs in 2023, Deshaun Watson had the highest Home/Road split with a +11 fantasy points after scoring a paltry 6.7 points on the road.

There has been much made of the Cowboys struggles on the road and you note above Dak Prescott had the third highest differential at +9 fantasy points, but still a playable 15.1 points on the road.

Also, one of the “QB truths” over the past few seasons has been to sit Jared Goff on the road.  However, a quick look at the table shows he may be shedding that label after only a +5 home/road differential.

Here are a few QBs who were “road-proof” last year:

Let’s shift to RBs.

With his new job in Baltimore, Derrick Henry’s home/road splits will be an important metric to keep an eye on.  Same with Bijan Robinson and Jonathan Taylor since their draft cost is so high this year.

On the flip side, these RBs look to be safer options:

I could go onto WRs and TEs, but you get the picture.  This is useful data – perhaps not standalone, but in conjunction with other information at your fingertips (like Slot vs. Wide).  I’ll certainly consider this when I develop DFS recommendations as well.
