For the first time since Week 3, we had an increase in total points per game in NFL Week 6 vs. the same period of 2025:

The observant among us will notice that Week 6 was the lowest per-game average since Week 2. And Week 6 2025 was disappointing as well. I suppose taking a high-scoring team like Detroit out of the mix explains a small part of the 2026 drop, but in 2025, the Vikings and Texans were not beating teams with offense.
I won’t have time to go beyond musing. A mystery for another day.

Legend: Rank is for overall season tournament rank, Owner and Team refer to identifiers in NFFC, League is the RB8 league number the team is in, Draft Position is the spot the team drafted in, Chg is the number of points for the week, and RChg is the position the team moved up or down in the overall rankings for the tournament.
Oof. Obviously, RazzBowl felt the NFL point drop. This was our first week without a 200-point team, and there were some major moves among the higher-scoring teams: @FrankChapa3 rode the highest-scoring week into the overall top 20. @2169Boyz climbed up to number 12. And within Week 5’s top 25, @BroadwayJoe614, @mfertel78, @rbrusuelas, and @Nomas78 all climbed into the top 11. Well done, all: it would be petty not to admit my jealousy.

Trevor Lawrence’s heroics may not have rescued the Jaguars from defeat, but they certainly did a job here. AND he shoves his way into the cover pictures of my first two articles of the week. I wrote in my article on Monday that KW3 has been the value of the season, and that Swift could be on the way to his statistical best season. If you haven’t seen Tre Tucker’s two TDs vs. Kansas City, look them up; they’re a treat. Egbuka and Tracy gave the deeper leagues some cheer.

Even some of the leaders had tough weeks, but Michael Cannizzo clings to the overall lead. The top seven were fairly stable, but the magnitude of change increases after that. We now have 16 teams that have already reached the 1,000-point mark.

Newcomer Mark Ringo is already making waves, leading our pack for Week 6. Four of us are in postseason position, and four others are in striking distance.
We’re now 60% of the way through our regular season. Things are getting real. It’s time to start our finishing kicks.
The first Week 7 game is in Chicago at historic, and sadly endangered, Soldier Field on Thursday as the Bears face the Patriots. Both teams are coming off tough wins and will be playing on short rest.
The Bills, Chargers, Jaguars, and Commanders are off on byes, and the Saints host the Steelers at 9:30 a.m. Eastern on Sunday, as the NFL stays in Europe but moves from London to Paris; the game will be at Stade de France, and there is currently a good chance of rain.
Don’t forget waivers run on Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern.
Good luck this week!
