Player: Cooper Kupp
Razzball Consensus ADP: 7.2
ADP Buy/Sell: SELL
The Pro Football Docs are not concerned about Cooper Kupp’s Week 1 availability despite a hamstring injury he suffered 8/1. Kupp will have a SIC Score close to 90 by the time we get to the start of the season. It’s still reasonable to take a shot on him in the middle of round 1 mostly due to his elite upside. Kupp averaged 25 PPR PPG in the first eight games of 2022.
So why is he a fade? Kupp’s issues are more tied to Matthew Stafford and his injury concerns. If Stafford is forced to miss time again playing behind a poor offensive line, it will be hard for Kupp to outproduce the likes of Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, and Stefon Diggs this season.
Player: Breece Hall
Razzball Consensus ADP: 41.9
ADP Buy/Sell: SELL
After the signing of Dalvin Cook, we will most likely see a dip in Breece Hall’s ADP. However, the question is, should we buy Hall at the lower cost? The Pro Football Docs’ concerns about his ACL recovery remain the same. Due to the timing of the injury in Week 7 of last season, Hall will not only be limited health wise to start the year, but he will now see a reduced role with Cook on the team. Overall, unless Hall falls into the 6th-7th round range, it is best to fade him in 2023.
Player: Terry McLaurin
Razzball Consensus ADP: 54.2
ADP Buy/Sell: SELL
The Pro Football Docs have serious concerns about Terry McLaurin’s early season availability and effectiveness due to a toe injury he suffered on Monday August 21st. Here at Razzball, we expect the Commanders pass volume to dip with a mobile QB like Sam Howell now leading the offense. Once you factor in the injury, the dip in pass volume and the competition for targets around McLaurin it makes it easy to sell his current 5th round ADP price point.
Player: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Razzball Consensus ADP: 86.4
ADP Buy/Sell: SELL
Pro Football Docs do not expect Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN) to play Week 1 and there’s a slight chance he lands on IR with his left wrist fracture. Already dealing with an uphill climb for targets behind stud wide receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, JSN could get off to an even slower start now due to the injury. Based on his current price tag at the 7/8 turn, we recommend JSN as more of an in-season buy low than a draft asset in 2023.
Player: Rashod Bateman
Razzball Consensus ADP: 126.9
ADP Buy/Sell: SELL
Unfortunately, the Pro Football Docs indicate that a second cortisone shot for Rashod Bateman suggests lingering issues with his Lisfranc ligament. Bateman could see a reduced role at the start of the season due to the persistent injury. On top of the injury, Bateman will be dealing with a lot more competition for targets with newly signed Odell Beckham and rookie first round pick Zay Flowers now on the roster. This is why we are recommending you FADE him at his current ADP.
