After a couple of months off, my mind is clear and fingers are rested, NFL free agency has me juiced up to bring you offseason content. March not only marks the start of the NFL season but the beginning of your campaign to fantasy football glory. Now is the time to start taking mental notes […]

Hey y’all.  Please note that where fantasy position ranks are cited: they were pulled from www.pro-football-reference.com’s NFL Fantasy Rankings. Also note that these are non-PPR rankings.  This list only includes Un-Restricted Free Agents (UFAs), it does not include Exclusive Rights Free Agents (ERFAs) or Antonio Brown (We can rank Tony once we see if his QB is going to be future HOFer Big Ben or future Gym Teacher Blake Bortles or someone in between, but don’t think either spot or any in between really changes his value much).

Hey everyone, and welcome back to another Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em post! I hope everyone had a great and safe Thanksgiving, so let’s break down Week 12!

Let’s get to it!

*Note* – My Week 12 Rankings can be found here, and be sure to check out Rudy’s projections for this week here!

*Note* – I won’t be including the “studs” in any of my “Start” columns. You should always start Aaron Rodgers, Todd Gurley, or Antonio Brown!

I don’t actually have anything to say about Derek Carr, I just wanted to use that title. Hopefully you didn’t roll Carr out there this week. Mullins has solidified the idea that streaming any QB against Oakland is a pro-play. Let’s try to forget about the abysmal game from Thursday Night and take a look at a few new situations heading into Week 9. It was a pretty interesting trade deadline, and there are a handful of players who have seen their dynasty value affected.

Since it is a big news day, let’s fuse what would have been two posts into one. I’ll put my week 9 rankings at the bottom for your viewing pleasure. But, let’s talk about the trade deadline first. Things certainly heated up after lunch on the NFL trading circuit. We had a couple of major moves at the wide receiver position that has an impact on a lot of players. Demaryius Thomas was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Houston Texans and Golden Tate was traded from the Detroit Lions to the Philadelphia Eagles.

We have to keep in mind that players going to a new team in the middle of the season may not hit the ground running. Look at Josh Gordon so far this season with the Patriots. He’s productive, but he’s not the WR1 that he has the potential of being with the Patriots down the line.

Seriously. I could not wait for Monday Night Football just to listen to the absolute nonsense from Jason Witten and Booger McFarland, the latter of which should be prepared for someone in the crowd to black out and see a table on top of the #BoogerMobile. But despite that disaster of a football game taking place, let’s look back at at some of the action from Sunday’s games…

Is it not the most awkward damn trolley you’ve ever seen? That it will be on display in Buffalo of all places with a decent chance of vandalism in the forecast for it only makes me more excited for the Pats blowout of the Bills on MNF. While Booger rails against logic and analytics throughout the broadcast and Jason Witten bumbles through introductory 3rd grade math, there is a non-0% chance a member of the #BillsMafia will make a leap of faith from the stands onto the #BoogerMobile. But before that game takes place, there are a couple from the Sunday slate that are worth looking at.

Four straight weeks of double-digit fantasy points has David Njoku trending upwards in the top TE pecking order. He was a limited participant on Wednesday which leads me to believe that he’ll be playing (and eating) this weekend. His opponent, the Steelers, have allowed double-digit points to TEs for 5 straight weeks and Njoku will make that 6 despite only catching 3 passes for 13 yards in week 1 against the Steelers. It’s a whole njew Njoku in week 8! My take: Will play, start him.
