Your WR top 80 3.0 is here! Now we have some real live NFL data to help make adjustments. Some players were removed due to injury or ineffectiveness, and some new faces have forced their way onto the scene.

This list is not league or format specific, but it is based on 2020 projection only. When thinking through tiers and rankings I asked myself simply – “all things considered who would I rather have on my roster?”

Rank Change Name Team Notes
    Tier 1

5 +3 Tyreek Hill KC All systems go now that the hammy is fine
    Tier 3
6 +1 D.J. Moore CAR

8   Juju Smith-Schuster PIT Big fantasy game but only 6 targets to Diontae Johnson’s 10
    Tier 4
9 -8 Michael Thomas NO High ankle and could be weeks; managers will have to weather the storm
10 +8 Adam Thielen MIN Clear alpha for now and Minnesota won’t be able to manage close defensive games
11 +2 Allen Robinson CHI
12   Terry McLaurin WAS WFT ran 15 more plays than their 2019 average, good for their WR1
13 +2 Calvin Ridley ATL Every Falcons game will be a barn burner
    Tier 5
14   Odell Beckham Jr. CLE A lot of concerns with this offense but 9 targets keeps him afloat
15 -9 Kenny Golladay DET Surprising late injury caused him to miss week 1, could it linger?
16 -5 Mike Evans TB Soft tissue injures to start the season are a big problem
17   Keenan Allen LAC
18 +1 Amari Cooper DAL 14 targets was a pleasant surprise for those who took the plunge; 81 yards wasn’t
19 +9 Will Fuller HOU Targeted like Hopkins used to be, and delivered all over the field
20 +2 A.J. Green CIN Healthy and led Bengals in targets; should’ve had the game winner (push off penalty)
21 +4 D.K. Metcalf SEA If Seattle’s defense doesn’t allow them to grind out games DK will smash weekly
22 -7 A.J. Brown TEN Very ugly game flow on the road week 1 and conceded targets to Corey Davis
    Tier 6
23 -2 Tyler Lockett SEA Will be a PPR stalwart
24 -3 Cooper Kupp LAR Usage concerns are valid: Rams had 36 rushing attempts and Kupp only 5 targets
25 -2 TY Hilton IND
26 -2 Michael Gallup DAL
27 -1 Tyler Boyd CIN Mildly concerning debut but hopefully the offense gets rolling
28 +4 Stefon Diggs BUF Least discussed week 1 shock was Josh Allen’s 46 attempts, 9 of which went to Diggs
29 +11 Diontae Johnson PIT 10 targets on top of Big Ben’s praise has my attention
30 +12 Marquise Brown BAL Showed us he doesn’t need volume to produce on this elite offense
31 +5 DeVante Parker MIA Already injured
32 -2 Henry Ruggs III LV
33 -5 D.J. Chark JAC I had volume concerns and 3 targets week 1 doesn’t help that
34 -5 Preston Williams MIA Parker got injured but led the team in targets, picking up where he left off in 2019
35 +18 Darius Slayton NYG I was wrong about his ability to command WR1 targets and NYG will throw a lot
    Tier 7
36 +9 CeeDee Lamb DAL Second on team in targets
37 -4 Courtland Sutton DEN Already injured, Lock did Lock things which won’t make me bullish on this offense
38 -4 Jarvis Landry CLE
39 -8 Julian Edelman NE Volume will be lacking compared to years prior
40 -2 Marvin Jones DET Didn’t pop in his audition without Golladay
41 -6 Jalen Reagor PHI One big play, still optimistic that he was healthy and played 60% of snaps
42 -3 Brandin Cooks HOU
43 +4 Laviska Shenault Jr. JAC Versatile weapon saw 2 carries and 4 targets and got into the endzone
44 +6 Jamison Crowder NYJ Looks like a PPR steal at least until Mims shows up
45 -8 DeSean Jackson PHI OL problems will make it hard for him to get deep shot but he did see 7 targets
    Tier 8
46 -2 Bryan Edwards LV
47 -1 Justin Jefferson MIN
48 +1 Brandon Aiyuk SF Can get a chance to solidify a role if he heals up
49 NR Marquez Valdes-Scantling GB The buzz was real, he played an important field stretcher role in week 1
50 +6 John Brown BUF Saw more looks than Diggs; Bills ran most plays in week 1
51 +7 Sammy Watkins KC Classic week 1 Sammy but given the offense he has to get a bump
52 +14 Mike Williams LAC In a surprising twist, was active for week 1
53 +1 Jerry Jeudy DEN
54 +16 Parris Campbell IND Rivers used all his intermediate options and Campbell was a frequent target
55 +4 Emmanuel Sanders NO Has to get a bump but it’s not as simple as filling in for Michael Thomas
58 -7 N’Keal Harry NE Passing volume could be pretty low in NE but at least he was utilized
    Tier 9
57 -16 Deebo Samuel SF Setback sent him to IR, may only be rosterable in deep leagues right now

72 -3 John Ross CIN
73 -2 Van Jefferson LAR
74 +3 Larry Fitzgerald ARI
75 NR Demarcus Robinson KC 6 (very inefficient) targets from Mahomes gets him one week in the top 80
76 -2 Miles Boykin BAL
77 NR Breshad Perriman NYJ He was active, which is a bonus. This offense will have to throw but it won’t be pretty
78   Randall Cobb HOU Primary slot in an offense that will need to throw a lot
79 NR Quintez Cephus DET Team leading 10 targets in Golladay’s absence shows he may be relevant even with a healthy WR room
80 NR Scotty Miller TB His usage will depend on Mike Evans’ health but was a big part of the game plan week 1
