Here we go again.  Last week was an embarrassment as Michael Vick was injured and Chris Johnson and Cedric Benson were shut down.  Our man Danimal took home the 45 cash dollars last week in our Razzball League.  You can enter this week’s league here.

My team this week is my favorite of all time, but maybe that’s good, because when I think I’ll do well that is the kiss of death.

QB Peyton Manning IND v KC — Manning is as consistent as they come.  I think I’ll roll with Peyton at home, even against an up and coming defense like the Chiefs.

RB Steven Jackson STL @ DET — He wasn’t even on the injury report after last week’s game, so his groin sack must have held up.  Detroit is just not a good defense yet, especially against running backs.

RB Frank Gore SF v PHI — Philly hasn’t been good against running backs and Alex Smith has become the Frank Gore check down bot.  Even if Gore can’t get into the end zone his total yards should exceed 100.

WR Mark Clayton STL @ DET — Back to the Detroit well.  Clayton isn’t that great, but he sure gets a ton of targets, and against Detroit, targets equal yummy fantasy cupcakes.

WR Marques Colston NO @ ARI — After spending a lot of money on my QB and RBs I needed to skimp a little on WRs.  Colston, for his price is a nice buy low candidate.  With the amount of targets he is getting a TD is on its way.  Hopefully this week.

WR Roddy White ATL @ CLE — Cleveland has been giving up big chunks of yardage and Roddy White likes taking big chunks of yardage.

TE Zach Miller OAK v SD — San Diego doesn’t like to cover tight ends and Miller is on a roll.

K Joe Nedney SF v PHI — Cheapest kicker.

D Carolina Panthers CAR v CHI — Todd Collins is starting in the place of Jay Cutler.  This might not mean a ton of turnovers, but the Bears aren’t going to go on a scoring spree.  The Bears are also a good choice here with Clausen and Steve Smith out, and they cost the same.  I’m still deciding!

Where do I click to see all the teams that have joined (though I think it’s just us two right now)? After I entered my team it showed me, but now I go back there and I can’t find like what you might call the “league” page…?

@emceeperiod: Cool. I think if you go to “My Account” it will be under “Upcoming games”

I’m in it to win it

Also, would you trade Forte and Welker for Gore?

Context is that I need a top RB, I’m alright at WR, and a similar package was turned down for Arian Foster, and I know it wouldn’t fetch AP, CJ or MJD. Would you rather try to get Gore or Mendenhall?

@Calogero: I’d rather have Mendy by a little, but either would be fine. Really don’t see the Gore owner going for that though.

@Calogero: Good to see you in! Good luck!

Doc : I am in desperate need for a filler RB this week. I have McFad, PT and Moreno all nursing something or other.

My question is do I hold tight and play Hightower or pick up Fred Jackson of the FA wire?

    @Doc:

Would you call this a fair trade? My Eli Manning and Michael Turner for his Tom Brady and Greg Jennings.

It fits my needs. I just hope it’s fair or in my favor value-wise.

@Mr2Bits: Hightower has a good matchup. I’d stick with him.

@Buge Hoobs: i always lean to the best RB/WR and that’s Turner, so I say nay.

    Two quickies for a 12-team, 0.5ppr

Who would you rather have the rest of the way?

    1) Gore or Foster?

    2) Best or Mathews?
