This week, over a quarter of the NFL is either on a bye or injured. So you’re going to need some streamers this week. And next week? Well a quarter will be out then too. So you better get stashing for the future. Thankfully, I’ve got all the best streamers and stashes for you right here.
To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t usually start who is a viable option for this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers, depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can potentially find on waivers that you should stash for the future, either because they have a favorable match-up coming up, or because they could become a future fantasy starter. All players will have under 80% ownership on either Sleeper or Yahoo (ideally both) or would usually be bench stashes in most leagues.

QB Streamers:
Kirk Cousins (LV – 36%): Despite facing four straight bottom half matchups, Cousins is the QB6 on the season. The Bills are one of the best quarterback matchups in the league so if this game stays close, it should be a shootout. (I mentioned him as a stash last week so hopefully you listened.)
Jameis Winston (NYG – 5%): He’s baaack! Winston has thrived the last two weeks in great matchups. The Saints are a great rushing matchup, but they will still give Jameis plenty of scoring opportunities. There’s upside here but also quite a bit of risk.
Aaron Rodgers (PIT – 15%): Three straight games with at least 22 points makes him a viable streamer, despite the trickier matchup. Jaylen Warren is not great in the red zone which means most touchdowns go through Rodgers. That’s brilliant for fantasy.
QB Stashes:
C.J. Stroud (HOU – 52%): Want to get in early for next week? Stroud has a juicy matchup against the Giants and should benefit from Marvin Harrison’s arrival and David Montgomery’s absence.
Geno Smith (NYJ – 7%): The Jets face the Dolphins in Week 7. If you’re in a league where quarterbacks are hard to come by, Smith may be your best option. I don’t love stashing QBs but you gotta do what you gotta do.
RB Streamers:
Woody Marks (HOU – 51%): Marks has played every second drive throughout the season, so the Texans clearly trust him. There’s little quality behind him so expect him to carry the load, with maybe a third-down back spelling him. He’s a strong start this week.
Marshawn Lloyd (GB – 53%): The Packers made the decisive choice to use Lloyd as their lead back last week. He was a stash last week so if you picked him up, now is the time to start him, in a likely high-scoring matchup against Dallas.
Dameon Pierce (PHI – 2%): The Eagles are down to their fourth running back, and he looked quite good last week. Pierce even gets a top five matchup to ease him in, and little real competition for touches.
RB Stashes:
Samaje Perine (CIN – 5%): The Bengals have finally started to shift away from Chase Brown. Perine has been receiving all of the receiving snaps, plus a healthy chunk of early down work too. He’s on a bye so you’re not starting him, but he’s a great stash.
Audric Estime (CLE – 0%): Raheim Sanders is on IR and Quinshon Judkins is truly questionable for Week 6. Jaleel McLaughlin will be the change of pace and maybe receiving guy, but somebody needs to do the heavy lifting. If you’re in a deep league, Estime may be your best available option.
Running backs get injured more than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back missing two games per season in fantasy. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roster running backs who are an injury away from an every down role. Each week, I’ll be listing my favorite RB stashes, only including players you won’t be starting most weeks.
Top Handcuffs: Blake Corum, Brian Robinson, Samaje Perine, Kendre Miller, Kaelon Black, Emmett Johnson, Mike Washington, Keaton Mitchell, Seth McGowan, Tyler Allgeier, Jaylen Wright, Chris Rodriguez, Ray Davis, Kenny Gainwell, Najee Harris, Sione Vaki
WR Streamers:
Keenan Allen (IND – 34%): Against the Titans, Allen is the only Ten I see. No idea why I thought that joke would land. Anyway, the veteran is averaging over seven targets a game and gets a good matchup this week. He’s a solid start who is available in many leagues.
Tre Tucker (LV – 34%): Tucker is an avoid for me most weeks as he’s got such a low floor, but the Bills are the kind of matchup where receivers thrive. If it’s going to happen, this could be the week for the speedster.
Germie Bernard (PIT – 2%): He entered the week battling Roman Wilson for snaps (though he was actually gaining on Wilson anyway) and left it as the decisive WR2 with Michael Pittman heading to IR and Wilson also injured. It’s not a great matchup against the Buccs but there should still be enough volume to make him a good upside play.
WR Stashes:
Kendrick Bourne (ARI – 4%): The trade of Marvin Harrison to Houston moves Jalen Brooks into the starters but it’s Bourne who will benefit. He’s still clearly behind Trey McBride and Michael Wilson, but he’ll have good games and if one of the studs goes down, Bourne will be a strong start.
Jalen Royals (KC – 0%): In a very deep league? Jalen Royals could be the WR2 if Rashee Rice is out. He’s worth stashing to see how Rice’s health develops over the week.
TE Streamers:
Tyler Higbee (LAR – 4%): He was a streamer last week so let’s do it again. Higbee gets a great matchup against the Cardinals and is the clear third option in the passing game behind the two stud receivers.
Pat Freiermuth (PIT – 17%): I’m not very high on Freiermuth, but I’d be doing you a disservice not mentioning him as an option while he’s still available in most leagues. Tight Ends are the most successful fantasy position against the Buccs (outside kickers and DSTs) so Freiermuth could add to his three touchdowns in the last two weeks on Sunday.
TE Stashes:
Chig Okonkwo (WAS – 9%): I remember talking to Bobby LaMarco about Chiggy Baby years ago on the Slot vs Wide show on the Razzball Youtube Channel (which you should definitely check out). He’s had his moments but it feels to me like he’s about to boom. His snap count is high, he’s looking healthier and the targets are following. He’s not a start for me yet (especially against San Fran), but I’m picking him up everywhere just in case.
K Streamers:
Spencer Shrader (IND – 67%): He’s not available in most leagues, but he’s been my top streamer the last two weeks so I’m guessing many of you already own him. Don’t let go just yet! The Titans are a good matchup.
Chase McLaughlin (TB – 17%): The Steelers remain the league’s best kicker matchup and McLaughlin has a strong leg. He’s worth a punt.
DST Streamers:
Chiefs DST (KC – 28%): Coming off a bye, the Chiefs will be available in a lot of leagues. The Chargers have no healthy receivers and a mediocre run game. It’s time to attack them.
Saints DST (NO – 4%): Most of my favorites have high ownership percentages, so how about we dig a little deeper. The Giants are always susceptible to good edge rushers, so I can see New Orleans having some success.
Please note: I won’t be listing kicker or DST stashes. You should never put kickers or DSTs on your bench in redraft leagues. There are practically no exceptions. Just please, don’t do it.
