This week, using our Slot vs. Wide PPG Allowed Analysis on Razzball.com, we break down some of the top matchups for wide receivers heading into Week 13. These wide receivers are currently outside the top 24 in PPR PPG, while our sits are inside the top 30. I guess these would be more “BOLD” starts and sits, so if you’re second guessing some of these takes, bring your start sit questions to our Sunday live start sit show on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, 8:00 am – 10:00 am PST every Sunday!
To hear a full breakdown of the slot vs. wide matchups, join our wide receiver matchup show this Friday at 5:00 p.m. PST on the Razzball Fantasy YouTube channel, but for now, let’s dive into the top matchups for Week 13.

Wide Receiver Starts
Week 13 START: Deebo Samuel
Defense: Philadelphia Eagles
Out Wide PPG Allowed: 3rd
It is clear from the production this season that Brandon Aiyuk is the new WR1 in San Francisco. This development has made Deebo much less consistent. In 2023, only four of his nine games have resulted in WR2 production. The good news for Deebo is this week, he faces an Eagles DST that has allowed two wide receivers to score at least 12 PPR points in seven of their 11 games this season.
Week 13 START: Courtland Sutton
Defense: Washington Commanders
Out Wide PPG Allowed: 15th
Why are we bringing up a player who has just a league-average matchup? Well, great question, “INSERT YOUR NAME HERE”. Courtland Sutton has faced a brutal schedule for outside WRs, facing the 2nd toughest strength of schedule through Week 12. This makes his WR22 season even more impressive. In the four games where he faced the top 16 opponents in out wide points allowed, he scored 11.7 PPR points or better in all of them.
Week 13 Start: Jayden Reed
Defense: Kansas City Chiefs
Slot PPG Allowed: 2nd
Not sure what to make of the Jordan Love experience, but he’s beginning to look a lot better heading into the second half of the year. This has elevated the production of all his receivers, especially Jayden Reed. Over the past five weeks, Reed is the WR10, averaging a solid 14.6 PPR PPG. This week, he faces a Chiefs defense that allows a league-high 58% of their fantasy points from the slot. If Love is going to keep up with the Chiefs, he will need to feature his slot man, Reed, this week.
Wide Receiver Sits
Week 13 SIT: Tank Dell
Defense: Denver Broncos
Out Wide PPG Allowed: 29th
This one will probably be my worst call of the week, but let’s go for it. Is Tank Dell a must-sit NO, but he’s someone who I would temper expectations for in Week 13. The Broncos have become a terrible matchup for outside wide receivers, especially wide receivers who rely on air yards to get their fantasy points. This season, Tank Dell is 14th in average depth of target but just 78th in yards after the catch per reception. This is why Dell is more of a WR3/flex this week.
Honorable mention Start: Jaylen Waddle vs. the Commanders
Week 12 Recap
START Odell Beckham vs. the Chargers – MISS
START Brandin Cooks vs. the Commanders – HIT
START Demario Douglas vs. the Giants – Demario Douglas left the game early, but before he went down, he caught six passes and finished as a WR3. I am calling this a HIT
SIT Amari Cooper vs. the Broncos – HIT
SIT Jaylen Waddle vs. the Jets– The Dolphins featured Jaylen Waddle more in the slot in Week 12 as Waddle secured 4-73 from the inside. This should allow Waddle to finish strong ROS. MISS
Start Gabe Davis vs. the Eagles – HIT
Score – 4 of 6
