Wide Receiver Starts

  • Week 14 START: Cooper Kupp
  • Defense: Washington Commanders
  • Out Slot PPG Allowed: 5th

It has been a long, winding road for Cooper Kupp managers in 2023. However, if you made the playoffs with him, it’s time to cash in. Kupp is coming off back-to-back weeks with at least eight targets, including a great 8-115-1 performance vs. the Ravens last week. Now, in Week 15, Kupp gets another great matchup vs. the Commanders, who have been getting crushed by wide receivers all year long.

  • Week 14 START: Gabe Davis
  • Defense: Dallas Cowboys
  • Out Wide PPG Allowed: 2nd

Gabe Davis has been a very boom or bust this season. In PPR formats, he has five games over 15 PPR points and six games with single digits this season. The great thing about Davis is his big games have come against good matchups. He had great games vs. the Eagles (1st), Buccaneers (6th), and Jaguars (13th), who are all in the top half of the league in fantasy points allowed out wide. Now, in Week 15, Davis will face the Cowboys, who have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points out wide over the past six weeks.

  • Week 14 Start: Tyler Lockett
  • Defense: Philadelphia Eagles
  • Wide PPG Allowed: 1st

Tyler Lockett isn’t known to be boom or bust, but oh boy has he been in 2023. Similar to Gabe Davis, Lockett has five games over 14.9 PPR points and seven games in single digits. A lot of this has to do with Geno Smith taking a step back, but it also has to do with the drafting of JSN. This week, Lockett has a great chance to finish as a top-24 wide receiver as the Seahawks face the Eagles. The Eagles have allowed two wide receivers to finish with at least 13 PPR points in three straight games.

  • Week 14 START: Courtland Sutton
  • Defense: Detroit Lions
  • Wide PPG Allowed: 5th

Courtland Sutton has turned things around in 2023 as he has finally found his footing after dealing with a few big injuries. This season, Sutton is the WR20 in PPR even though he has faced the 9th toughest out-wide schedule this season. The crazier stat is Sutton hasn’t faced a top 10 defense in fantasy points allowed out wide since Week 2. Now he gets his chance for a big week vs. the Detroit Lions, who have sprung a leak over the past six weeks.

Wide Receiver Sit(s)

  • Week 14 START: Amari Cooper
  • Defense: Chicago Bears
  • Out Wide Allowed: 29th

We all love what Joe Flacco has brought to the passing game for the Browns, so how can we justify sitting Amari Cooper? Well, the Bears were once a joke of the league and are slowly becoming one of the top defenses in football. The Bears have held opposing WR1s  to under 50 yards receiving in four of the last five games. Meanwhile, Cooper hasn’t found the end zone since Week 9, which means if he doesn’t eclipse 50 yards or find the end zone, he could be a bust this week.

Week 14 Recap

START Brandin Cooks vs. the Eagles – MISS

START Drake London vs. the Buccaneers – HIT

START Zay Flowers vs. the Giants – HIT

SIT Elijah Moore vs. the Jaguars – MISS

Start Nico Collins vs. the Jets – Injured (VOID)

Score – 2 of 4
