Even though I’m not one to pat myself on the back (actually, I am), Razzball has been on an upward curve, bringing some sort of conglomerate synergistic metamorphosis (as they say in the corporate world), providing you an ever-improving ranking accuracy year after year. How do we do it? No clue. It could be dark wizardry. It could be indigestion. It could even be your mother. But I have to admit, this year is going to be daunting, if only because the expectations we’ve placed on ourselves here at Razzball Football are at an all time high (just like my college years). Going from 31st overall to 22nd in Weekly Fantasy Football accuracy is one thing. But going from 22nd to the top-10 in the entire nation last season is quite another. And then on top of that, to finish third overall in our Draft Rankings last year… well, it’d be folly to try and say “Yes, we’re going to try even more, (more better if you believe in remedial English)”, but yeah, I’m going to say it… We’re going to do more better. (My English teacher just placed a bounty on me.) With that said, and my parentheses key broken, here are your 2017 Fantasy Football IDP Linebacker Rankings

Jatavis has top 10 potential, looking forward to seeing what he can do this year.

Jay, looking forward to getting back into all your football content in the upcoming season. I have a positional question for you. Last year in the league I run, I did away with kickers in favor of a 2nd flex spot. I’d like to bag Team D this year as well but not sure if 3 flex spots is too much – it’s a 14 team league so rosters are already a bit thin – what do you think?

    1 QB
    2 RB
    3 WR
    1 TE
    2 Flex (RB/WR/TE)
    5 Bench

Add another flex, bench spot, other?

    Thanks!

@Jimmy Jack James: Jay, any thoughts on this? Thanks brother.

@Jimmy Jack James: Actually, I kinda dig this setup. I would add one more bench spot, but other than that, I always favor getting rid of kickers. In fact, this years RCL we’ll be removing Kickers and DST entirely!

No love for Jarrad Davis? Everything I read is he’s calling plays this year which means all 3 downs. I think he’s no worse than an LB3 in standard 12 team leagues with upside for borderline LB1 stats.

@MrMojoRisin: Yeah, I’m really conservative at the moment because college players are my weakness, I don’t really watch it, and so I’m generally a bit slow to come around on rookies. These rankings will change over time, but I’ve read the same things you have. At the very least, he’ll have the opportunity to make an impact, that’s for sure.

@Jay: He’s a football playing Jessie (Mark Schlereth’s only valuable contribution to talking heads on TV)
He eats, sleeps, & drinks football. Only injuries will derail him in my mind. And I’m an FSU alum. liking a Gator is unnatural! lol
