It is still very early in the fantasy football season. This feels like something I repeat weekly since the season began, but it remains true! Players can make up ground for a slow start to their season very quickly. Sometimes, that may feel like a one-off game; however, when this is coming from a player with a history of volume and efficiency, there is reason to believe the scoring outburst is not fluky.  Please, blog, may I have some more?

Week 6 Starts and Sits: Home/Road and Win/Loss Players Splits

Time to hold my feet to the fire again.

My Week 5 starts:

Elic Ayomanor, Titans WR: projected 10.2 PPR points, actual 3.8 PPR points

Marquise Brown, Chiefs WR: projected 9.6 PPR points, actual 8.8 PPR points

RJ Harvey, Broncos: projected 9.0 PPR points, actual 6.0 PPR points

My analysis of the Titans matchup wasn’t bad, but my assumption that WR Calvin Ridley would miss the game was wrong. Please, blog, may I have some more?

This was a GREAT week for tight ends:

If you ever needed confirmation of the importance of streaming and stashing, check out the top performers from last week. Sam Darnold was QB2, Rico Dowdle, Rachaad White, Kareem Hunt, David Montgomery and Michael Carter were Top 10 RBs, Jaylen Waddle was the WR4, we had two Top 7 DSTs and our tight end starter and stash popped off. Please, blog, may I have some more?

The rookies are waking up. Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Cam Skattebo, Quinshon Judkins, and Emeka Egbuka are all firing after the past few weeks, but there are so many more pieces in this class who could make a difference. We just witnessed QB Jaxson Dart take the reins in New York, but sadly, the loss of WR Malik Nabers could limit his fantasy potential for this season. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Time to hold my feet to the fire again.

My Week 4 starts:

Nick Chubb, Texans RB: projected 9.3 PPR points, actual 8.2 PPR points

Chris Olave, Saints WR: projected 12.4 PPR points, actual 9.0 PPR points

Quentin Johnston, Chargers WR: projected 12.2 PPR points, actual 23.8 PPR points

A couple of things to keep an eye on in the Chubb/Marks paradigm: Chubb has had low scores in pass blocking the last two weeks on PFF. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Minnesota stays in Europe and moves to London for a game against Cleveland coming up on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Also, before I start talking about the tight end position, I’ll pass on the good news that bye weeks start this week, and a few teams will take off every week between now and Week 14…except for Week 13, Thanksgiving Week in the U.S. Please, blog, may I have some more?
