We have been holding drafts for our RazzballNFL Supporters Leagues for the last couple of weeks. In true Razzball fashion, League 3 was second. I never said we could count.
The league is hosted on the Sleeper Fantasy platform. This is the second year for this league. Eleven of the twelve 2025 teams returned for 2026.

Rosters: 14 players, 9 starters (1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, 2 RB/WR/TE flex), and 5 bench players
Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) of $200 per team, no minimum bid, no free agency
12-team linear snake draft held on September 1 at 8:30 p.m. EDT
14-week regular season, 6-team playoff seeded by record, top-2 seeds have a Week 15 bye, reseeded for Week 16, Week 17 championship
$25 buy-in, redistributed at $200 for the champion, $75 for the runner-up, $25 for third place
We were meant to have a livestream/podcast, but I was the only RazzballNFL representative available for the draft, and at least for now, the poorest suited to host, so this is what I can provide. We’ve set this league to mirror RazzBowl scoring and starting lineup. Unlike RazzBowl, we set lineups all season, and we don’t have a best ball regular season.
I randomized the draft order three times the weekend before the draft, and this is where we landed (team names are as in Sleeper):

The draft started at roughly 8:40 p.m. (if you don’t know us, we’re always late), but the chat is already underway. No recent draft I’ve been in lacks in Dajean Love (iykyk) jokes and we’re not the exception.
Round 1: No real surprises. Jahmyr Gibbs goes first, Sky opts for Ja’Marr Chase second in a 3-WR format, then Bijan Robinson goes. My first pick is Christian McCaffrey at 1.06 after Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are taken. I’ll take a chance on a player that has a chance to be the top non-QB scorer any season he’s healthy. All told, 7 RBs and 5 WRs are selected. Even in this format, people are realizing the workhorse RB is not common lately.
Round 2: Four of the first five picks are running backs, making it 11 RBs in 17 picks. A.J. Brown goes right before my pick at 2.07. AJB is not a player I have any shares of, and I wanted one here, but I pivot and make Drake London my team’s WR1. After that, Ben takes Ashton Jeanty, the final RB of round 2, followed by the first TE taken, Brock Bowers, and the first QB, Josh Allen. Round 2 ends up 5 RBs, 5 WRs, 1 TE, 1 QB.
Round 3: StroudProud7 kicks it off with one of the final RBs that presumably has the lion’s share of the work in Breece Hall, his second RB in 3 picks. Sky follows that up with Rashee Rice, his third straight WR. Three more WRs go until at 3.06, I take the second TE in Trey McBride. More on that pick in a bit. The 3rd-round tally is 3 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 1 QB.
Round 4: We start with five straight receivers (4 WRs and 1 TE), which prompts Ben to say, “I had to double-check to see that this isn’t TE-premium,” meaning augmented points for TEs, such as an extra 0.5 points per reception, since four TEs have been selected at this point in a league that has only one dedicated TE spot per roster. My reply was, “positional advantage,” referring to the number of points scored by the top players versus the rest of the field at the position. For example, McBride outscored the next TE in 2025 by nearly 50%. That magnitude is unlikely to be repeatable, but I’ll bet on a sizable advantage if everyone at the position stays healthy. Getting back on point, right before my pick at 4.07, Javonte Williams goes, kicking off the next wave of RBs. I pick Cam Skattebo, who may take a little time to ramp up to a full workload, but is likely to have the largest load of anyone else on the team. Two more RBs go in the final five picks, and the tally for the round is 4 RBs, 7 WRs, and 1 TE. Team strategies are beginning to materialize.
Round 5: StroudProud7 kicks it off with the fifth TE selected, Tucker Kraft. Sky selects his second straight RB, Bucky Irving, then RB, QB, RB before coming back to me. Ben’s pick of Quinshon Judkins is a guy I wanted, but Ben also may have saved me from myself. At 5.06 I take my second WR, Terry McLaurin. I’ll need relative health from the Commanders, but I believe that the arrival of Stefon Diggs is beneficial to McLaurin in that an opposing defense needs to account for Diggs more than for a lesser replacement. The rest of the round is WRs and QBs, but the updated Sleeper draft board shows that its AI is judgy: Lamar Jackson at 5.04 earns a “STEAL” sticker, signifying the Sleeper AI was programmed to expect Jackson to be drafted earlier. Round 5 winds up with 3 RBs, 5 WRs, 1 TE, and 3 QBs.
Round 6: After starting with two lead RBs, MF ODOOMZE kicks off round 6 with his fourth straight WR, Rome Odunze. Next are two presumed lead backs, Jadarian Price and Bhayshul Tuten, followed by a TE and 2 WRs. At 6.07, I prompt Sleeper to give its first “REACH” sticker by selecting Jonathon Brooks, my third RB. In two NFL seasons, Brooks has 12 touches and none since tearing his right ACL for the second time in his career during the Week 14 of 2024. I can’t say I disagree with Sleeper, but if his pedigree is worth anything, he could have a path to relevance pretty quickly, and he was the highest-rated RB still on my board. After Ben takes Marvin Harrison, three more RBs and a QB end the round. Tally: 6 RBs, 4 WRs, 1 TE, and 1 QB.
Round 7: Three WRs and a RB take us back to Ben, who takes the sixth TE, Harold Fannin Jr. At 7.06, I decide to tempt fate by ignoring my open WR spot and fill (for now) my second flex spot with RJ Harvey, a player I was unkind to as a rookie. Depending on the analyst, Harvey in 2026 is either a passing-down back fighting for J.K. Dobbins’ scraps with 4th-round rookie Jonah Coleman, or a sleeper picking up skills he was lacking as a rookie while studying the masters of the position. I think he’s a talented kid with a nose for the end zone who scored 12 TDs in 2025 and finished as PPR RB20 despite having fewer than 200 touches. The 7th round sees 4 RBs, 5 WRs, 2 TEs, and 1 QB.
At the midpoint of the draft, the 84 players selected breakdown as 32 RBs, 37 WRs, 8 TEs, and 7 QBs. 3 teams have neither a TE or QB, and 6 teams have both.

I’m pretty sure no one needs judgment from this guy, who went 4-10 in this league in 2025, but I’ll summarize the teams:
StroudProud7 drafted 5 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 1 QB. After drafting a QB in the top half of the draft, forewent the position the rest of the way. I loved his 8/9 turn and the Dobbins pick at 10.12 is a potential steal. Has three players on bye in each of Weeks 6 and 7, but the positions are well-spaced.
TCKPod waited on the one-player spots, drafting his only TE at 8.11 and both his QBs in the 11th and 12th rounds. Patrick Mahomes at 11.12 seems like a ridiculous value. 4 RBs seem brittle, but his top 3 are solid. In total, he has 4 RBs, 7 WRs, 1 TE, and 2 QBs. Three Chiefs means Week 5 will have multiple byes, but a second QB and 5 other WRs cover that.
queenroxanne12 parlayed the third pick position into the highest point projection for Week 1. Picked the first QB at 2.11, then waited on TE and a second QB. Her stretch of 2 RBs and 5 WRs from rounds 3-9 laid a nice foundation. Overall, 4 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 QBs. Missing three players in Week 7 should not be an issue: she has a second QB, and two of her top 3 WRs.
Toe7685 drafted 4 RBs, 7 WRs, 1 TE, and 2 QBs. Took Bowers (my top TE) at 2.11 and then did not worry about the position. Waited on RB, then drafted four who should have big roles between rounds 4 and 9. Grabbed two top WRs, then waited. Grabbed a top QB and a solid backup. Has no huge holes due to byes, although he will be missing Lamar Jackson and Brock Bowers in Week 13.
Hashtag Football – Ben drafted 2 RBs and 4 WRs to start, and held off on QB until rounds 11 & 12, although both have the same bye week. Overall, he drafted 5 RBs, 6 WRs (all by round 9), 1 TE, and 2 QBs. Tremendous first seven rounds.
TEAM REACH may regret taking all 4 RBs in the first seven rounds, especially considering the hammers are both off on Week 8. The WR3 position may need shoring up, but I tried to help make up for that by selecting two of the top three scoring TEs from 2025. Drafted 4 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 QBs. Received three “REACH” stickers between rounds 6 and 9 (hence the team name). I loved getting Kelce in the 11th round, but the two players drafting around me forced alterations repeatedly. I love that.
Sloth hearts Chunk waited on the single-starter positions until the second half of the draft, then sniped me with both of the QB selections in rounds 8 and 14. Drafted two solid TEs in rounds 10 and 11. The roster has 4 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 QBs. Week 11 is the main issue, as two of the top three WRs are on bye.
Michigan Cyclospora went high-end RB in the first two rounds, then filled out his starting roster by round 9. Week 10 could be an issue with his WRs 1 and 2 both on bye, and one of the replacements not guaranteed to return from IR in time to help. The roster is 5 RBs, 6 WRs, 1 TE, and 2 QBs.
shermantank474 grabbed his starting RBs and WRs in the first five rounds, then his QB and TE, then hammered RBs and WRs before taking one of my sleepers at TE late. Will need Jeremiyah Love to return sooner rather than later, which is reflected in his construction. No real bye week issues. Overall roster is 6 RBs, 5 WRs, 2 TEs, and 1 QB.
SKOL IN NH had the challenge of being in another draft at the same time as this one. Went positional advantage with the first four picks and potentially got top-5 players at each position. Went 6 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 QBs. WR is brittle, with two of them out in Week 11, but that’s what the waiver wire is for, and we do allow trades. If I’m going to have two each at QB and TE, I like the ones here.
CptnWhoopass only took one WR in the first five rounds, and is heavy on rookies at WR, but is very solid at RB, TE, and QB. If the rookies at WR are as good as advertised, this will be a contender again. No real holes due to byes despite leaning into Week 10. The roster has 4 RBs, 6 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 QBs.
MF ODOOMZE had the most creative construction, waiting on TE until round 10 and QB until his last two picks. Should challenge any team at the RB and WR positions, as I love the top 6 picks. Dowdle and Wilson are solid flexes. If Murray or Mayfield return to top form, this team could win. The one pick that might hold him back is Likely. There were several TEs still on the board that I think are better, but having swung for the fences myself, drafting for upside is a viable strategy. Here’s to being bold. The roster is 6 RBs, 5 WRs, 1 TE, and 2 QBs.
There you have it. 12 teams, 14 rounds, and 168 QB/RB/WR/TE leaving a lean waiver wire. The season starts on Wednesday, September 9, and I’m sure our players are ready to go!
