2026 NFL Tight End Rankings Week 2

As I write this, Dalton Kincaid is thrashing the Lions. I pulled Kincaid from the Week 2 rankings, but I had him ranked 4th for the week before the game. The way he’s been going, he could be TE1 after Week 2. I certainly missed on him so far. I didn’t question his talent, but he is running with the opportunities, earning a 72% snap share in Week 1; he had no game over 55% in 2025.

Let’s take a look at our PPR double-digit-point scorers from Week 1:

Kincaid has already kept his hot start going in Week 2; Isaiah Likely will have his chance to do the same on Monday night in Inglewood against the Rams. Of the 16 players in the table, 13 scored touchdowns; it’s a little scary that Kincaid reached 18 points without hitting paydirt. Half of the players are rostered in less than 50% of leagues, and six are rostered in less than 16% of leagues. Such a fickle position.

Looking at the red zone:

Likely did a lot of damage in the RZ against Dallas. I can’t wait until Monday to see if the Rams try to make Jaxson Dart look elsewhere. I’m amazed that Juwan Johnson, a top-ten PPR scorer in 2025, is under-rostered. Cade Otton’s RZ usage is encouraging. If he gets around 20 RZ targets, his value regresses positively. All of Kenyon Sadiq’s RZ points came on a 3-yard TD run.

These rankings are for base PPR leagues: 1 point per reception, 1 point for 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points per touchdown, and -2 points per fumble lost. No premiums or bonuses.

I’ll give player, player’s team, opponent this week, home or road game (H/R), day of game, time of game (early (E), late (L), or night (N)), current projected team total (Imp Pts) per Draft Kings, opponent’s 2026 rank vs. tight ends, PPR points per game (PPG), PPR scoring rank for the season (Rank), and percent rostered per FantasyPros (Rost %).

Let’s talk about Colston Loveland: his Week 1 game was the football equivalent of the Cubs scoring 20 runs on 25 hits and Pete Crow-Armstrong going 0 for 6 with 4 strikeouts. Loveland was on the field for 65 of 75 offensive snaps, so that wasn’t an issue. I don’t think people who started Rome Odunze or Luther Burden were much happier. I don’t think Kalif Raymond will continue being the Bears’ leading receiver. What concerns me more is that the team had 291 yards and 6 TD’s on the ground, including two rushing TDs for Caleb Williams. Chicago will face tougher defenses, and the run/pass mix will shift in those games.

I’m not dinging Harold Fannin too much for a weak showing by the Browns offense, but he may have more competition for targets from rookie WRs KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston than expected. That could actually benefit Fannin as the season wears on.

Speaking of zeroes, last year’s second-highest scorer, Kyle Pitts, turned one in. But he was done no favors as Cooper Rush had to step in for Tua Tagovailoa at QB. It’s looking like Tua will miss Week 2 as well, but Michael Penix has practiced in full this week. Even if Penix is held out another week, Rush will have a full week practicing with the first team. Pitts only played 63% of the snaps in Week 1, but the Steelers pressured Rush all day, and Charlie Woerner had nearly as many snaps as Pitts did. I expect the protection to hold up better against the Panthers.

I don’t put much stock in the Week 1 game in Melbourne. The Rams were flat, and I‘m sure making the trip from California in the last couple of days didn’t help, but I think the arrival of Raheem Morris as the 49ers’ new Defensive Coordinator had something to do with that as well, as Morris held the same position with the Rams before taking the Head Coach job in Atlanta. What concerned me was how George Kittle looked: he only played 46% of the snaps, and he’s still clearly recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in January. He’s still limited this week at practice. I’m not completely surprised by this, as my pre-season ranking had some recovery time baked in. As for the Rams tight ends, Colby Parkinson was the pass-catching TE in Week 1. I’m still holding Terrance Ferguson as he was second in snaps among the tight ends, but the leash is short. Matthew Stafford only attempted 25 passes against SF; I will be paying attention Monday night to see how the Rams adjust.
