As much as I hate to make this report, it must be done.  I lost my home league by two points on Monday night.  You read that correctly!  TWO POINTS!  Much of the loss had to do with the turds dropped by Brock Purdy and Davante Adams.  Considering neither player was under consideration to bench, I must live with the results.

The one major mistake I made as the team owner was starting Dalton Kincaid, knowing his targets and stats have been on a significant downward slide.  I was leaning toward my own Tucker Kraft recommendation and failed to follow through, and Kincaid was brutal again, and Kraft would have placed me in the finals.  I clearly have the best team (on paper) in the league, but sometimes it just does not work out the way we hoped.

On a brighter note, I am sitting at #7 overall and in the running for the Razzbowl title.  My main roster issues there are injury-based.  Do I risk running Purdy out there again over Patrick Mahomes, and do I trust Jaylen Waddle (possible high ankle sprain) over the smoking-hot George Pickens?  We shall see where the news updates take me as the week moves forward.

I am not sure if I have shared my fanboy love for the band Pearl Jam in previous articles.  I doubt I have.  With that, please know they are my ride-or-die band, and one of their lyrics sticks out to me after the brutal loss in Week 16.  Like Eddie Vedder belts out in the song Release, “I will ride the wave where it takes me.”  Wish me luck, and let’s get to helping you raise your fantasy Lombardi trophy with one more win!
