With as many injuries as we saw in Week 14, with Eifert, J-Stew, Olsen, Dalton, Yeldon, Rawls, V-Jax and Blount to name a few, the teams that made it through to their league’s semi-final round (the teams that actually followed my advice of course) are going to need some help. And of course, I’m here to wipe away the tears and tell you everything is going to be Okay. Even this late in the season, there is still plenty of players that could still help your team go all the way and win me… I mean, you money! So, let’s get to it!

I hope I don’t get sued for using the CW logo. Who am I kidding? I’m sure they would appreciate the exposure to the four people that read this article. With that said, they have come a long way from their UPN/WB days. You know, that channel that gave us hits such as Homeboys in Outer Space, The Mullets and Platypus Man. To be fair, Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a hit and I got my wrestling fix from WWE SmackDown.

Please, blog, may I have some more?Well, we all knew the Bengals season was going to end as soon as they played their first playoff game, the only questions to be answered was the how and why. Unfortunately for the Bengals, the answers came about a month too early. Now sitting at 10-3, Andy Dalton broke his thumb while, of all things, making a tackle (shown above) after throwing an interception. The loss came at the hands of perpetual division rival and bee-uniform wearing Steelers, further complicating the Bengals road to their one-and-done playoff appearance. Even Tyler Eifert went down with a concussion in the first half of yesterday’s game. So you have to wonder, can they still get a bye and go for a loss during the divisional playoffs? Or will that loss come during Wild Card Weekend? All joking aside, you’d have to think that with this year’s Andy Dalton, the Bengals had the best chance they’ve had since the Carter administration to get a playoff victory, but depending on how long Dalton is out, you have to figure that limping into the tournament and unable to get a playoff win is the most likely scenario. And also sounds like a new verse for Alanis Morrisette’s “Ironic”.
Here’s what else I saw during Week 14’s Sunday games…

If you weren’t already in your league playoffs, chances are, they start today. And if not, next week. And if not, then I have no idea about anything your league is doing. And as the fantasy season comes to a close, so does the NFL regular season. I can’t say that I’ve actually liked the football I’ve watched this season, but that’s mostly because I’ve been perma-drunk and a Chargers fan. Those aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, but for my purposes in life, they can be. That being said, there are plenty of teams that have under-performed just as much. Like, for instance, the Browns. Alright, this isn’t making me feel any better. What about a riveting AFC North showdown between the Steelers and Bengals? Meh, been there, done that. A tantalizing game between the Cowboys and Packers? Eh, not especially exciting without Romo. So then there’s the Patriots and Texans Sunday Night Football showdown as our last resort for some football, or something close to it. Tom Brady against Brian Hoyer? Yep. That’s definitely the game we’ll be waiting all day for… Sounds. About. Right.

Please, blog, may I have some more?‘Playoffs? Playoffs!?’ Quick…what comes to your mind when you read that? Add in a little high-pitched squeally voice of an old man and of course you come up with the image of Jim Mora Sr. standing at the podium in Colts garb responding like Iverson to a reporter’s question. He was actually Iverson before Iverson. You know what I’m talking about…

But there may not be a better moniker for the DFS fan of fantasy football in Week 14 than the word ‘playoffs’ with a few question marks after it. While most of the fantasy football community is 6 days into their winter-long hibernation bender realizing that their fantasy football season has finally come to a close, around half of the season-long players just stepped into the DFS world.  Are you one of those face deep into December’s Week 14 depression? Missed on your league’s playoffs? Every week of the daily game is like the playoffs.
One week. One lineup. Win or go home…or lose your cash. And errbody can play!
So, if it didn’t work out very well for you over the past trimester, learn from your mistakes and do better. Please, blog, may I have some more?Last time I wrote this, I was pissed we still had seven undefeated teams. Well, that was the week before Thanksgiving and I was five pounds lighter. I’m happy to say we now have zero undefeated teams and my hater side gets a double shot of satisfaction. Why you so hateful FOH? Because if life was all about happy, then it wouldn’t be the journey it’s suppose to be. Now, for those of you in the RCL or any league with any sense, the playoffs started this week. Playoffs? You want to talk about Playoffs? . Yeah, I went there with the insertion of an “overused but yet never gets old” Mora clip… and I got to use the word “insertion” in a post. Hehe! This is the best part of the Fantasy Football season. I don’t get crazy over the week-in and week-out part of this game. I just try to make sure I make the playoffs. I made it in four of five leagues *high fives self* this year with my one whiff in the writers league. That bums me out since I think I have a strong team right now and scored more points than three of the teams in the playoffs. Whatevs, that’s the Fantasy Football life. Only three-and-half months until baseball starts and the daily musings of this guy. Wait a minute, why wait til’ Spring? He and Mike are chopping it up every day right now on the baseball side. If you didn’t do well in the RCL football leagues this year, you can always redeem yourself in the OG RCL’s! Sorry, I must apologize, I have been digesting 100 times more fantasy baseball than football lately. Two crazy dynasties and my off season work with the Big Magoo has me in Spring Training already. Anythehoo, on to the standings…
Please, blog, may I have some more? Why Razzball? Why you ask. If I really need to answer that question then I think you are in the wrong place. Perhaps you meant to visit espn.com where you could fill up on shitty advice from some overpaid, over hyped ding dong. I’ve been trying to figure a way to work “ding dong” into a post all season. Check that one off the list. But while I have your divided attention, I’ll answer it anyway. Is “undivided” attention actually a thing anymore. Heck I’m barely paying attention as I write this post. So you’ll have to forgive my randomness.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I don’t have a lot of injury analysis for you in this one. Just some quick hits and an amazing Tyler Eifert update. Tyler Eifert missed last week’s game with a neck injury… Perhaps he was malingering so he could do this instead of playing on Sunday:
I'd like a Super Bowl ring #Santa #NiceList pic.twitter.com/2CDBiPVsdq
— Tyler Eifert (@EiferTy85) December 9, 2015
Okay, not that the picture was taken on Sunday. I don’t think it was. But look, this picture is just.. weird. A grown man probably shouldn’t be sitting on Santa. So I hope this had some tie in to an official appearance or some kind of charity benefit. I wonder if his #NiceList refers to what he’s done for fantasy owners this year? Jay, maybe you need to get in the holiday spirit and come out with a “Naughty/Nice” list for fantasy football this year. You know, the list more commonly known as Bust/MVP. I’m not saying it’s a good idea, I’m just saying it’s an idea. Anyway… Tyler Eifert (neck) was “limited” for practice Wednesday after he missed last week’s game. So that makes me think he’ll play this Sunday. But they’ll probably want to be certain on this one so I wouldn’t be completely surprised if he missed. But I think he’ll play.

Please, blog, may I have some more?It seems I can no longer avoid the pink elephant in the room. Doug Baldwin (63%). In the preseason I identified Doug as an ideal cheap buy in auction leagues. With an projection of about 167 points and a price tag of at most $2, his points per dollar (PPD) was through the roof. In snake drafts his ADP was about 120 (10th round). Through 12 games he currently has 180 points (1 point PPR). Over achieve much? In week 5 I ranked him as a top-20 receiver. And in weeks 11 and 12, IÂ highlighted for his on field performances. The writing has been on the wall all season. And by wall, I mean my posts. How many of us missed it, or just plain ignored it. In the last four weeks specifically, Baldwin has been one of the top WR in the league. The stats don’t lie. During that span he has averaged 6 catches and 108 yards per game. He also has 6 touchdowns in those four games. Is it a coincidence that his performance has blossomed since Marshawn Lynch has been out of the lineup? I have no idea, but felt obligated to point it out. Can you hear me now?!!
Please, blog, may I have some more? The playoffs start this week in the vast majority of leagues, so it’s time to forget about the last three months and focus on the next three weeks. That can sometimes mean cutting bait on some players that carried you to a successful season, whether due to injury, tough schedule, or suspension. The latter unfortunately applies to Kwon Alexander, who will drop his appeal and serve his 4-game PED suspension over the last month of the NFL regular season. This is poor timing for owners that have benefitted from his unexpected LB8 production over the first 13 weeks, but all is not lost. The LB position is extremely deep right now, and Alexander’s replacement in Tampa’s lineup might be a good fit for your lineup as well. Bruce Carter has had an injury marred career, but when he’s on the field he has put up stats including 96 tackle season and an admittedly fluky 5 interception season. He’s already recovering from a concussion, so we’re not off to a great start health-wise, but if he’s cleared to play, I like him as a low end LB2. The same applies for Danny Lansanah if Carter can’t go either, but it appears that Carter will get the first crack at it.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Greetings! How are things? Terrible? Alllllll-Riiiiiiighty then! I had a dental appointment at 6:00 AM (more on this later), this Monday morning, so please, I beg of you, do not hold me accountable for anything inappropriate or offensive I may write in this post. I wonder, did Donald Trump give that warning before advocating a removal of all Mexican and Muslim people in the United States?… YEESH! I already own a pretty annoyingly flashy car. I GUARANTEE you that if I put a Trump sticker on that bitch, I’d get a shattered window within 24 hours. Should we test it out? I’d rather not, but I heard Jay, the greatest editor/writer in the history of sports writing, is heavily involved in Dump’s campaign, so maybe he’ll test this theory for us.
Anyway, I bet not one of you have had to get a gap filled in where you chipped a tooth when a significant other went super freak and put a dildo in your mouth… I mean, I’m always down for experimenting, and who really knows what I’ve done during my countless Molly sessions, but blow isn’t mind altering enough to get me to inhale a fake D… I’m embarrassed. I’m humiliated. I’m exhausted. Let’s talk football before these pain killers knock me out for the count.
I am Tehol Beddict and this is, Getting Wired with the Elders! Take heed!
