B_Don and Donkey team up to bring you a short week 4 waiver wire show that turns into a long week 4 waiver wire show.

The running backs discussed as pick up options include: Wayne Gallman, Darrel Williams, Rex Burkhead, Ronald Jones and Jeff Wilson. Wide receiver candidates tossed around are: D.J Chark, Phillip Dorsett, Mecole Hardman, Golden Tate, Diontae Johnson and Preston Williams.

The quarterback options this week are led by youngster Daniel Jones, but Jacoby Brissett, Mason Rudolph and Kyle Allen all bring intrigue as well. The guys round the show out by talking about Will Dissly and a few other tight ends who might be hanging around on the wire. Tune in and let us know how you like the format!

Thanks Guys — please do more of these. Really enjoyed the FA Pickup Format.

Do I keep Justice Hill on the bench, or hold Raheem Mostert through the bye?

Thanks, Greek! Sounds like there’s probably enough interest for us to make this waiver show a weekly production, hopefully a little shorter next week.

If that’s a speculative roster spot where you don’t need to start the player in the near future then I’d want Justice Hill, especially if it’s any sort of PPR.

B_Don/Donkey – Singletary was dropped in my 12 team 0.5ppr league…wondering if you think it’s worth burning my #1 waiver priority on him? My RBs are….inconsistent….so would love some depth. Ekeler, Gurley, A. Jones, and Melvin Gordon in my IR spot

    Thanks boys

    • B_Don

Yes, I would try and find a way to pick up Singletary and would be fine burning the #1 wavier spot on him. Barring injury to an existing RB (and even then it depends on the backup’s talent and situation), Singletary is likely the most impactful RB that will become available.

    • Donkey Teeth

I’d lean towards saving the #1, but I’m not big on Singletary either. Who are the next best RBs on your waiver wire right now?

Why do you hate Devin so much? What’d he do to you?

He made a comment about my mother. Nobody talks about Momma Donk and gets away with it.

        • Gregarious says:
          (link)

Haha yeah don’t hate on Devin! Other RBs are either pure handcuffs or short term adds…guys like Mattison, Pollard, Darrell Williams. I’d love to get Singletary without burning my waiver pick so I’d have fist dibs on Mattison/Pollard if Dalvin or Zeke went down…not sure Devin makes it through though

            Donkey Teeth says:
            (link)

Right, if those types are available then I think the better move is to save the #1 waiver. Someone you really want will come into a job at some point…

12 team PPR dynasty league. Thinking of adding Preston Williams, Parris Campbell or Diontae Johnson as my last bench receiver. Are any worth more than Dede Westbrook, or should I hold?

    • Donkey Teeth

      Donkey Teeth says:
      (link)

I’d keep Dede but kind of surprised they all aren’t owned in a 12 team dynasty. Shallow rosters?

      • Steve D. says:
        (link)

        16 spots per squad.

My other bench receivers are Mike Williams and Christian Kirk, don’t want to cut either of those guys. I have Kupp, Cooks and Watkins as my starters. So these guys would just be lottery tickets.

        • Donkey Teeth

          Donkey Teeth says:
          (link)

Gotcha. Yea pretty shallow rosters for a dynasty league. I’d keep Dede, but have a close eye on the usage of those other three youngsters especially Diontae and Parris Campbell.

        • B_Don

          B_Don says:
          (link)

Pretty much agree with DT. With the shallowish rosters, I don’t mind letting go of Dede and Diontae would be my add, but you likely aren’t starting either of them given your other options so just grab the most talented guy. I like Diontae and then Dede of the list, so, maybe just see if Diontae slips through waivers and can be added for free, and if not, just hold.

PPR with return yards worth the same as scrimmage
    QB (1): goff, allen
RB (2) carry-on, mack, wilkins, gore
WR (2) edelman, fitz, samuel, mclaurin, marv jones, green
TE: olsen, herndon (was going to drop herndon for more RB’s anyway after olsen has been this solid)
    1 util
    IR (1) barkley

well there goes anybody but a WR in the util for probably the rest of my season now 0-3. lost week one from henry getting hurt. trying to trade one of mclaurin/marv jones/samuel for a RB straight up or maybe gore + one of those for lesser WR + better RB

    1. i have the best waiver here (weekly reset to standings) the other KC d-will or gallman here 1st? you answered this above i see

    2. got an offer of edleman for jeffery + freeman (ATL) but not sure this is any good here. jeffery murdered me last year when i drafted him everywhere at what looked like good value then routinely started him more times than was good for me as a #2 WR. meanwhile edleman is set to be quite good this year with AB out.

    3. different league, in big trouble in tons of ways, 14 team PPR no return yardage (newton, AB (keeper from round price), already drafted too damn early and lost l.miller in 24 or so hours after draft, stashed guice in 1 of 2 IR slots, a.wilson, carson, oj howard (keeper from round price), the good KC d-will, big time shit show). i had nabbed VD figuring exactly right that reed might not ever be back, got him and m.davis to drop. have jimmy G (bye) also to start.

FAAB how much on gallman here?

    4. FAAB how much on these, assuming this order: k.allen, carr, bridgewater, rudolph (only going to win one at most)? am excited i got k.allen in another 14 team super flex when all the definite starting QB’s that just got jobs went to higher waiver order guys.

    • B_Don

      B_Don says:
      (link)

      1. Gallman
      2. Depends on the depth of your team and league. If you feel good about your depth or there are options available on the wire, hold Edelman. The more depth matters, I move toward Alshon/Devonta

    • B_Don

      B_Don says:
      (link)

      3. 30% is the high end for what I want to spend on Gallman. I can see 35% if you need him and since it’s a deeper league.

      4. Surprised those guys weren’t all owned in a 14 team SF league. I’d have Carr over Allen because he has the job all year, but I’d be willing to spend 50-70% on Carr if you need to grab a QB. The rest, somewhere in the 30-40%.

      • Super Terrific Carpal Tunnel Virusy Box vs Mail Robot (who wins?) says:
        (link)

the 2nd league isn’t a super flex league, i just had jimmy G and newton since newton has a horrible injury history. i’m adding a 3rd QB since jimmy G is on bye and newton is out. newton currently in the 2nd IR slot along with guice. trying to figure a price on these in a 1 QB league.

        • Super Terrific Carpal Tunnel Virusy Box vs Mail Robot (who wins?) says:
          (link)

ok, now i see why, this part:
“am excited i got k.allen in another 14 team super flex when all the definite starting QB’s that just got jobs went to higher waiver order guys.”

this “excited i already have k.allen” part was for a completely different 14 team super flex where i got k.allen last week in waivers.

Should I trade Kupp and Ekeler for Hopkins and M. Sanders?

My other RB are McCaffrey, A. Jones, Carson and Montgomery
My WR are Kupp, Sutton, Ross, Green, (and A. Brown)

    Hey DT and B Don!

Thanks for moving up the show! Enjoyed this week.

While I’m sure other people may have requested to move the show up, I’m fairly certain I’m the one DT was trying to remember on the show…

My name is “baby seal,” not “tiger shark!” That is SO RUDE and SCARY for seals. I don’t even know where to begin. Needed a TRIGGER WARNING on that one.

    1) In a SuperFlex, I went with Jacoby this morning over Dalton, Keenum, and Kyle Allen. What do you think?

    2) In a flex spot 0.5ppr, starting you Sonny, Landry, or DK? I’ve already moved Scary Terry into my 3WR slot until further notice.

    3) You like BAL defense home vs CLE this week? Got them in two leagues. I also liked PIT home vs CIN.

    4) Who do you like (0.5ppr) vs Allison, Stills, Preston? Or stash Justice? Already stashing Mattison and my starters are Kamara, Carson, Michel.

    Thanks!!

      1. If Hilton plays, I’d start Jacoby, but if not, think I’d run with Keenum.
      2. Landry
      3. For this week, I like the Steelers matchup more, but the Ravens defense is better.
      4. Stills, Justice, Preston

Thanks B Don, you the man!

I figure if the G Men can make Winston look halfway decent, then Keenum might be OK… agree w/ Hilton take. I figure better to grab Jacoby now, and then can make the swap if TY doesn’t play.

        Cheers!
