Two weeks into the season and there’s already disaster and opportunities around every corner. Whether you’re covering for an injured starter, looking for a season-long replacement or stashing for the future, I’ve got all the information you need. Every week, I’ll be bringing you an article answering two simple questions: who should I stream this week and who should I stash for the future?

To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t usually start who is a viable option for this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers, depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can potentially find on waivers that you should stash for the future, either because they have a favorable match-up coming up, or because they could become a future fantasy starter. All players will have under 80% ownership on either Sleeper or Yahoo, ideally both.

We’d love to have you join us on the Razzball YouTube channel (@RazzballFantasy) and podcast. If nothing else, tune in every Sunday morning two hours before kick-off for our Sunday Live Start/Sit Show where we answer hundreds of your lineup questions.

QB Streamers:

Tyler Shough (NO – 50%): The perfect injury replacement if you just lost Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams or Jaxson Dart, Shough has surpassed 22 points in both starts and gets solid matchups against the Raiders and Falcons in the coming weeks. He’s not only a good streamer this week, I’d consider him for the remainder of the season.

Jordan Love (GB – 57%): He’s started the season with two very tricky away matchups and come away with 4 scores and 522 yards. Things can only improve in the next month for Love, starting this week against a middling Falcons defense.

Drew Lock (SEA – 3%): Here’s one for the deeper leagues. If (and that’s a big if) Sam Darnold isn’t back, the Commanders present Lock with a fantastic opportunity to boom in Week 3. He’s a strong streaming option for one week only.

QB Stashes:

Jameis Winston (NYG – 1%): It looks like Jaxson Dart will be out for the season (or most of it) meaning it’s Jameis season. He’s no longer the insane youngster with enormous upside, but he will have some big weeks. Any of the next three weeks are viable matchups but I particularly like him in Week 5 against the Commanders. But for now I’m stashing him to see how he can perform after a week of preparation, because last Monday wasn’t pretty.

RB Streamers:

Emanuel Wilson (SEA – 2%): This option is contingent on Jadarian Price missing the game. While George Holani has been the guy on third downs, Wilson is the clear Price backup and will get the start in a juicy matchup against the Commanders if Price is indeed out. Grab him, hold him, and start him if Price is out, or drop him if he’s not.

Woody Marks (HOU – 52%): It’s not been clear to this point, but the Texans are alternating running backs by drive, rather than using them in specific roles. That gives David Montgomery the slight advantage, but it does mean that Marks is a viable starter in the right matchups, especially in PPR leagues. The Colts have conceded the third most points to runners so far this season, making this a good time to use him.

Tyjae Spears (TEN – 41%): The Giants are one of the league’s better rushing matchups and the Titans are using the runners in an almost equal committee. This makes Spears a solid starting option, especially in PPR.

RB Stashes:

Braelon Allen (NYJ – 15%): The return of Isaiah Davis had no impact on Allen’s usage. He’s the clear Breece Hall backup and is one of the league’s better stashes given his likely heavy usage if Hall goes down.

Running backs get injured more than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back missing two games per season in fantasy. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roster running backs who are an injury away from an every down role. Each week, I’ll be listing my favorite RB stashes, only including players you won’t be starting most weeks.

Top Handcuffs: Kaelon Black, Brian Robinson, Mike Washington, Emmett Johnson, Braelon Allen, Woody Marks, Kenny Gainwell, Tank Bigsby, Seth McGowan, Tyler Allgeier, Samaje Perine, Ray Davis, Jonah Coleman, Keaton Mitchell, Raheim Sanders

WR Streamers:

Adonai Mitchell (NYJ – 17%): Mitchell is the clear WR2 in New York and gets a fantastic matchup against a banged up Lions secondary. He had 12 targets last week alone and has a heap of upside.

Devaughn Vele (NO – 52%): Vele has 12 receptions on 16 targets 133 yards and a score in the opening fortnight of the season. He gets some attackable matchups in the next two weeks meaning, until Jordyn Tyson returns, he’s a solid streamer.

Keon Coleman (BUF – 2%): This is another contingent option. If DJ Moore is out, Coleman is the clear outside WR1 in Buffalo and gets a top ten matchup against the Chargers. But just stash him if Moore plays, as he’s starting to trend towards a fantasy-relevant role anyway.

WR Stashes:

Chris Bell (MIA – 5%): With Caleb Douglas potentially missing extended time, Bell could be the new WR1 in Miami. He’ll be hard to trust the next two weeks, but he’s worth holding to see if he can take hold of that role. He is the most talented receiver in the whole Dolphins organization (and frankly, top three in the division) so he’s someone you want shares in if you love upside.

Laquon Treadwell (IND – 0%): In deep leagues, you sometimes need to take wild pot shots. Alec Pierce’s injury looks serious and it seems like Treadwell is his direct replacement. If he can even touch Pierce’s production, he’ll be a fantastic asset come bye weeks.

TE Streamers:

Dalton Schultz (HOU – 41%): While Nico Collins is out, Schultz will be the top receiver in Houston. That makes him enormously valuable, though likely very inconsistent, from the tight end position.

Orande Gadsden (LAC – 5%): Entering the season Gadsden was the TE3 in LA behind Charlie Kolar and David Njoku. Two weeks into the season and he’s the lone starter. Crazy. He now has the potential to pay off for ignorant drafters who took him too early, or savvy players he picked him up off the waiver wire.

TE Stashes:

Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ – 29%): Mason Taylor’s injury opens up the possibility that Sadiq is accelerated into a starting role. He’s worth stashing just to see what happens over the next couple of weeks, but I wouldn’t be throwing him into fantasy lineups until we see his route participation in week three.

K Streamers:

Harrison Butker (KC – 55%): Butker isn’t an every week starter, but against a struggling Dolphins he’s well worth throwing into your lineup.

Evan McPherson (CIN – 44%): The former fantasy stud has started the season on fire. Many will be avoiding him this week but the Steelers are actually a great kicking matchup.

DST Streamers:

Packers DST (GB – 22%): The Falcons are the best DST matchup so far this season. Michael Penix is no Cooper Rush, but he’s also no Josh Allen. I think this is still one worth attacking.

Panthers DST (CAR – 6%): There are other DSTs I prefer (Chiefs and Lions may be available and jump to mind) but it’s rare such a lowly owned defense is available. The Panthers face a struggling Cleveland side and could be in for a good day.

Please note: I won’t be listing kicker or DST stashes. You should never put kickers or DSTs on your bench in redraft leagues. There are practically no exceptions. Just please, don’t do it.
