Well, I’m confused. This past weekend’s outcome were just weird. Some trash won, other garbage teams looked average; I don’t know what to make of this anymore. Everyone to 8-8! Well c’mon Max you dumb mofo, tell me something that’s not making me dumber. Well okay, okay, I shall drop some knowledge on you: The AFC East and NFC West look like the best divisions, by a long margin, in the NFL this year. The AFC South and NFC EAST look like my cat’s turds. Who goes into the weekend wanting to see a Blake Bortles vs. Ryan Mallet game? Maybe a Kirk Cousins vs. Sam Bradford match-up interests you? The only team that looks like they can be really dominant this year are the Cardinals. The Bills are resembling Jekyll and Hyde, while the Broncos look hella confused about their identity. This is the weirdest season I’ve been a part of in my lifetime.
Did we learn much from last weekend’s Eagles game? A little. Remember when you were in high school science class and your teacher taught what the word “malleable” meant? Well the Eagles O-Line resembled Play Doh. I feel bad for Murray, Sproles and Matthews; they’re not bad players but they have no chance with the way the offense is running right now. What I did learn was that Demarco Murray is going to get most of the touches, running and passing. Ryan Mathews is droppable in all formats unless he is handcuffing Murray for you, because he will hold no value unless there is an injury. Darren Sproles will be the most inconsistent fantasy player from week to week based on the opponent’s D and how much they’ll be throwing from behind. This is a mess of a team right now, but I might consider buying low on Murray if the opportunity presents itself.

Today I want to take a look at the Broncos offense. There are many question marks everywhere. Let’s start from the top down: Peyton Manning. Now I’ve watched both his game this season to completion and man does he look shaky. He has some nice throws here and there but they are far too few to even be considered consistent. People think that Thursday’s win was a redemption game right? Hell no, it was brutal for the most part. He looks very inaccurate, the ball is coming out wobbly a ton and he looks less poised and composed than I’ve ever seen him. If it wasn’t for the Chiefs D’s inability to catch the ball, Manning would have had 2-3 more interceptions. He just looks real bad. Now you might think he just needs time to get adjusted and he’ll be fine, but in reality the more time it takes, the more the wear and tear of the season affects him and his body will not hold up. I just really don’t like what I’m seeing and am scared for Broncos fans everywhere when week 10+ comes along. I own Manning on some teams and am really regretting my decision. On the bright side, the defense looks really solid.
The RB situation is shaky as well. The O-line is looking really awful here. Just like the Seahawks and Eagles before them, they are getting nothing done. They cannot run block or pass block too well right now. Things are not looking up for C.J Anderson or Ronnie Hillman. With the passing game being weaker than last season, stopping the run game is a higher priority for defenses. I’m having a hard time giving Anderson a vote of confidence here but I would expect the Broncos to give Anderson 1-2 more weeks of 15-18 touches before they start switching over to Hillman. After that, it’s anyone guess. I really believe the O-line is the problem here.
The receiving corp is great. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are both phenomenal, nothing more to look at here. Own them everywhere with confidence. Owen Daniels is not looking too hot, I missed on this guy with my Sleeper post. He looks old and brittle still. Luckily he wasn’t worth much on draft day. Virgil Green might one day be a sneaky red zone play. You heard it here first. Avoid everyone else.
What do you guys think of old man Peyton?
