It was a tough day to be a kicker but everything else on Sunday was a lot of fun. I remember at this time last season, the play on the football field was sub par and there weren't very many close games. Now, the quarterback numbers are outrageous, the games have been pretty close and well played, and the players are better protected. There are still a lot of flags, but that will work itself out when the referees gain more experience with the new rules. Speaking of new, on Mondays, you can now wake up to me breaking down the fantasy numbers for six games. Reid will also pick six games to break down and that will come out around lunch time for the East coast folks. Let's start with an absolute shootout.

The best blend of accurate and bold weekly projections for QB/RB/WR/TE + PK + Defensive Teams and IDP as well as a kick-ass DFS lineup optimizer and projections for DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo!

Welcome to week 2 of this very young NFL season. One of the most potent receivers in the game now doesn't have a team. That's just how it goes sometimes in this crazy and sometimes (most of the time) stupid league. You have lineup questions and Zach, Reid, and myself have answers. If you're the shy type or find us creepy and/or not funny, Jay (who finished 12th on FantasyPros last week), Zach, and myself have rankings that you can check out. Do you play DFS? Rudy just introduced the new Stackonator tool to his premium tool belt. Our contributors had another great week of providing top shelf fantasy football knowledge and now we just await the results. Let's get to the weather and injuries.
Last year, all my loyal readers wept tears of unfathomable sadness when baseball ended, as that meant the end of the greatest weekly column in the history of the Internet. Thankfully, Razzball has decided this year that they do not want to disappoint everyone out there who make up my loyal fan base, so they have asked me to write a weekly football picks column. Here’s the important stuff - I will be focusing on FanDuel cash picks. That’s not to say that you couldn’t take my advice and use it for other sites, but each DFS site has its own salary structure, so a good play on one site isn’t necessarily a good play on another site. So if you only play somewhere else besides FanDuel, be very careful with these picks as they’re based specifically on the salaries on FanDuel. Further, the bulk of these picks are for cash games. I will make GPP recommendations wherever I feel it’s reasonable to do so, but if you’re only a GPP player, then while this column will still be useful, just know that it’s a cash-first article. Finally, I will be making occasional references to Rudy’s projections, which you should purchase, because they are quite good. That’s not me shamelessly plugging them - that’s me speaking the truth - they’re quite good and quite helpful for anyone who plays NFL DFS. So with that in mind, onto the picks...
What's goin' on everyone, and welcome to Week 2 of the NFL season! Hopefully you guys all won in every league last week in what was a true Sunday to remember. We had everything: crazy performances from guys like Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, an absolute shootout in New Orleans, and a tie between the Steelers and Browns. Let's hope we get some awesome storylines in Week 2!
As you are reading this, I may be stranded in an airport as Hurricane Florence bares down on the Carolinas. If all goes well, I will not be able to comment on your posts this week, as I’ll be celebrating our first anniversary with my wife on the beaches of Curacao (and reluctantly missing week 2 and a huge Packers-Vikings matchup). Hopefully she doesn’t read this. Anyway, I’ll be back next week  answer any questions! In this week’s dive, let’s take a look at some players that are on the tail-end of their careers. They shouldn’t cost much to acquire from a team in re-build. Knowing when to trade future assets for players that will help you now is crucial. Similar to the trade deadlines in Keeper leagues, you have to know when to go all in, or when to sell off your studs. Here are few guys that are worth giving up future assets for.
The main point I make to people in week one of the NFL season is that you can't know what to expect. Be wary of who you think is a good team or bad team. That pendulum swings the same way in week two. Don't think you know who a team is because of a one-week performance. I'm looking at you Tampa Bay. To bring it back to our DFS Donkeycorn analogy, it's still hard to tell the oasis from the mirage. Let proven producers like DeAndre Hopkins lead you to water. There will be plenty of overreaction to things we saw last week. Capitalize on that. My favorite plays this week:
Week 1 is in the books, we are on the heel of the Thursday Night Football Bengals-Ravens game and I couldn't be more happy. Is there any better time of the year? Before I clicked submit on this piece, we received a beautiful clip of Joe Mixon jogging in to the locker room early in the first quarter with a right knee injury. This will be the freshest handcuff report out on the inter-web. Mixon owners please pick up Giovani Bernard, he is looking fresh out there! I will not go down a rabbit hole of why you should roster your RB handcuff because I know you are here to scroll straight to the names, that is what I am here to give you. Read my pre-season handcuff article if you are curious. I'll sum it up for you, SCHEME!
Welcome to the pilot episode of Pod Sack the Queen! Each week, Rudy Gamble and myself will muse over a couple of players from each position that we are playing and a couple that we are fading. The goal for our show is to keep the episodes right around a half hour (we went a little long this week). We know that you are already locked into your routine podcasts every week but we have one that we think is very useful. We want to pack in as much great information as we can while you set your lineups for Sunday. We dive into the week 2 prospects of DeShaun Watson, Alex Smith, Kenny Stills, James White, Pierre Garcon, Peyton Barber, Evan Engram and many more! We are brought to you by My Bookie! This is the best site for betting lines, live bets, and betting on fantasy stats! After 7 P.M. Est, use promo code 'Razzball25' to get a $25 dollar free play of deposits of over $100.

Tired of clicking multiple links just to look up where one of our writers ranked Gerald Everett? Wondering who Gerald Everett is? Good, because I’m with you on both counts! With myself, Zach, and Jay providing the Razzball readers with their own rankings, we’re going to provide our 2018 Fantasy Football Staff Rankings for the second time ever, a place where you can find all of our rankings in one spot! The players will be sorted by our average ranking, providing you a great way to see how the Razzball Staff feels on the whole, while also providing our specific rankings so you know how each of us feels about a player singularly. So many feels and terrible word usage. Follow us after the jump for your Official 2018 Razzball Staff Rankings for this week!

Our football editor, you know him as MB, would recommend a team full of Ryan Fitzpatricks to stream at every position. He made him the lead of his week 1 recap article and has changed his photo on every social media feed to Fitzmagic. I mean his current Twitter name is HarvardQBGawd. He is all in on the Fitz experience, which should serve as a reminder to reign in your overreactions from week 1. Fitzy had a great week 1, but he also played the Saints who couldn’t cover rock with paper. We’ve seen him have big games before, but let us not forget that he also has a game of 20/44 with 6 interceptions and 0 TDs in his game log. Fitzpatrick takes on the Eagles defense that still looks completely legit, and I’d be a little concerned about a roadrunner/cliff situation coming that reminds us why Jameis is coming back to his job as soon as he’s eligible.

What are my rankings bona fidas? Well, there’s finishing in the FantasyPros Top-10 Draft Accuracy (7th Place) in 2017, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy (23rd Place) in 2017, Top-5 Draft Accuracy (3rd place) in 2016, Top-10 Weekly Accuracy (10th Place) in 2016, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy in 2015 (21st Place) and on average we’ve finished in the Top-10 Draft Accuracy (9th Overall) and the Top-20 Weekly Accuracy (18th Overall) for the past three years. I’d like to think we’re pretty good at this stuff… What does the word bona fidas mean? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, bo·na fi·des \ ˌbō-nə-ˈfī-ˌdēz , ÷ˈbō-nə-ˌfīdz \ means 1 : good faith : sincerity, 2 : the fact of being genuine —often plural in construction, 3 : evidence of one’s good faith or genuineness —often plural in construction, 4 : evidence of one’s qualifications or achievements —often plural in construction. On a separate note, I think it would make a great name for a cat. What’s my ranking process? I’ve actually written about this in the past, and instead of working hard for new and enlightening content, I have chosen the more efficient (lazy, ahem) method and dropping in a link to that post here. Honestly, my process hasn’t changed much at all (the ole “don’t fix what ain’t broke” proverb comes to mind) and so my “A Day in the Life of a Fantasy Football Ranker” story still remains relevant to this day. (The TL;DR is: I’m ghetto as fudge. Well, I mean the other “f” word, but I’m hungry.) How should I use your rankings? The same way your mother does. Which actually makes no sense. (Unless your mother is in the running to always finish top-3 in your Fantasy Football league. And if that’s the case, say hello to her for me.)
