In this edition of the preseason fantasy football Top 150 PPR rankings, we discuss three current players who could emerge as sleepers if the NFL draft goes their way next week. For example, if the Cardinals decide to pass on a wide receiver early, a player like Michael Wilson could become a viable asset next season. On the flip side, if a team like the Giants lands a top-tier wide receiver prospect instead of drafting a quarterback, Daniel Jones could emerge as a late-round sleeper in 2024.

After the NFL draft is complete we will finally add the rookies into the Top 150 to have the full picture of the NFL off-season. Over the next few months, we will begin diving into each team’s changes to find the best values, sleepers, and potential busts for next season.

NFL Draft Sleepers!

  • Player: Rico Dowdle
  • Team: Dallas Cowboys
  • Overall Ranking: 99 (ECR 215)

The Cowboys have yet to replace Tony Pollard this off-season after he bolted for the Titans in free agency. Now heading into the draft, the Cowboys are one of the more likely teams to target a running back early. We have seen Dallas use early draft capital on running backs before including Zeke Elliott as high as round 1 in 2016.

However, if Dallas passes on a running back on day 1 or early day 2, Rico Dowdle should immediately be on our radars. In four career games where Dowdle has seen at least 10 touches, he has averaged 10.8 PPR PPG, and scored over 12 PPR points in three of four contests.

  • Player: Wan’Dale Robinson
  • Team: New York Giants
  • Overall Ranking: 126 (ECR 153)

The Giants will have a lot of decisions to make at the top of the NFL draft. Do they take a quarterback or do they grab a top wide receiver? No matter what happens, it’s going to have a major impact on Wan’Dale Robinson. We should also take into account that, Darren Waller is still contemplating retirement so what the Giants do in the draft could have major implications for Robinson’s outlook in New York in 2024.

Robinson has struggled to stay healthy in his career but has shown flashes of being a solid PPR asset when healthy. Over the final nine games of 2023, Robinson averaged 10.2 PPR PPG including scoring at least 13 PPR points in three of his last five games.

  • Player: Khalil Shakir
  • Team Buffalo Bills
  • Overall Ranking: 116 (ECR 145)

The Bills look to be in search of a new top dog in the receiving core after they traded Stefon Diggs and lost Gabe Davis in free agency. These departures have left Buffalo with a combined 317 vacated targets. Now Buffalo could look to add a replacements in the draft, but even if they do, could Shakir emerge as a sleeper in 2024?

Through his first two seasons in the NFL, Shakir has played well in an expanded role. In 10 career games when he played over 50% of the snaps, he’s averaged 10.7 PPR PPG. This production doesn’t include a strong performance in the playoffs last season when the Bills didn’t have Gabe Davis. Shakir averaged five receptions and found the end zone in both games.
