For this week I decided to tweak the rushing defensive stats a bit. It always seems odd that we don’t take into account how defenses defend running back receptions. In fantasy, receiving yards count just as much to a RB as they do to a receiver. So I added that little nugget in there. See what you think!
Oh, and yes, enter our week 16 contest. It’s fun and educational!

I need to start 2 of these guys. Charles, Snelling, M.Bush, M. Morris, Forsett and Ganther
Charles and Snelling?
Help Doc!
PPR league:
Jamaal in tough game at Cincy or
Beanie in easy game at home vs Rams
I think I give the edge to Jamaal b/c he doesn’t have to share carries and PPR
Pick 2 (same PPR league)
S.Smith (NYG) vs Panthers
J.Finley vs Seattle
D.Bowe at Cincy
Meachem vs Tampa Bay
I think I’m feeling Smith and Finley out of this group. I think they have better opportunity to catch more passes for my PPR league.
Thanks, Doc and Happy Holidays!
@Randy: Agreed
@nater1: I like Beanie a little more.
I also see a good ppr game out of Finley. Smith is also a little safer than the others, but I do like Meachem who had a good game at Tampa.
Hey i need a Flex spot Starter and a DEF to pick for the championship and im torn..
Its non PPR touchdown heavy league
Flex Spot:
Harrison @ Oak
Jacobs v Car
Mendenhall v Bal
Housh v GB
Bowe v Cin
DEF
Arizona v STL
GB @ SEA
Thanks great work with the site as always
Championship game, need 3 (RB, RB, Flex) out of the 5:
Gore vs. Detroit
Harrison @ Oakland
Charles @ Cincy
Maroney vs. Jacksonville
SJackson @ Arizona
Thanks Doc
Terrible decision to make:
Norwood, Ganther, or Maurice Morris for RB2?
I’m leaning Norwood based on matchup, but he is splitting carries while Morris really isn’t (besides the 5 touches or so that Aaron Brown gets every week). Ganther has really only been productive because of his TDs…
Yes, I’m somehow in the championship; Ganther two weeks ago and Morris last week have gotten the job done…
Thanks for all your help guys.
@Charlie: Gore is a must, then it gets a little trickier. Charles is proven himself by now so I have to go with him. I like Harrison a lot, but he is a little risky and SJax continues to get his 100 yards. I’d go with SJax.
@Ben: Yeah, that is tough. I like Norwood’s home run ability, but Morris will be safer for middle of the road production. Depends on how you feel about your matchup, but I’d lean to Morris.
This is my starting line up as of right now in a return yardage league
QB – Aaron Rodgers
WR – Andre Johnson
WR – Chad Ochocinco
WR – Kenny Britt
RB – Darren Sproles
RB – Jamaal Charles
TE – Brent Celek
W/R – Jerome Harrison
Q/W/R/T – David Garrard
BEN – LeSean McCoy
BEN – Justin Forsett
BEN – Donald Brown
Does this seem like my optimal line up? I would say so… I just hope the game tonight is high scoring so that I can get a bunch of return yardage points from Britt and Sproles
@Cheese: I think you have your optimal lineup. Good luck!
Look at this mess of backs! Thought I was strong with Turner and Slaton, ha ha. Rolling with Beanie Wells for sure, need to start one more. Turner, Norwood, Arian Foster, Caddy, Julius Jones, Mo Morris, or Michael Bush? Morris will get touches. If Fargas is out, Bush will too in a better matchup, right? I don’t want to be tempted to play Turner again. I don’t even know what to make of Caddy yet as I think I am leaning Morris. Wow. Thanks!
@Greg: I like Bush. Morris has a tough matchup. Both could be duds so i go with the matchup.
Charles or Harrison? I’d like to go with Charles because he has proven himself, but the matchups say other wise.
@Fresh: Agreed, the matchups even them out, but in your championship game I would play it safer with JC.
That’s what I was thinking until I saw him in the sleeper/bust article. This will be the same lineup that i had through the first two rounds outside of subing in atlanta over the titans. It has paid off so far so I might as well let it ride.
QB- Shaub
