We have finally arrived, and all I can say is, man, I gotta go to the bathroom. Crazy long trip, this was. That was my Yoda-typing. It about, you must think. Okay, I’m going to stop, it just looks like I’m having a stroke. Anyhow, look at this long journey we’ve been on together, and finally, we have arrived at the pinnacle moment where all the blood, sweat, and tears (aka– my last relationship), have accumulated to bring you not just 10, not just 50, not just 100, nope, that’s right… we’ve brought you 200 names ranked in the order of who I want on my fantasy team this upcoming season. Remember, this is not a mock draft, nor are they rankings based on 2014 stats. This is a list of guys I like. Maybe I have a crush on them, and to be honest, I wouldn’t mind going on a date with them. Because what’s this life for if people aren’t buying you dinner? Trust me, it’s worth nothing. And yes, there will be things you like about the things I like. There will be things you dislike about the things I like. And there will me saying ‘things’ too much. But that’s okay. Because we can all agree on this: Jamarcus Russell was terrible at football. But not at eating. Good for him.

Fantasy Football Rankings powered by FantasyPros

Note: The tiers are broken up every 12 spots just for visual purposes, as the majority of standard leagues have 12 teams. Consider the tier breaks to be basically the round changing in a draft.

Hey Jay, thanks as always for the stuff! Appreciate it! Always good to see roughly where players rank and how early (probably too early for me) that people should jump on talent.

Speaking of which… I figured I’d blow up my team last year, as it didn’t do me too good. Only got 13th. After blowing it up, I’m wondering if I’m doing this right.

I’m in a 14 team 6 keeper league, IDP League. We slot QB/2RB/3WRorTE/1QRWT/K/2DL/2DB/2LB/6BN/2DL.

Here were my 6 keepers before the start of the draft. Round is the round they’ll take up. After Year 3, they’ll move up in an amount of 3 rounds between 1-10, 5 between 11-20ish every year.
Cam Newton, QB (Round 1 – Year 4) <-traded for
Kenny Stills, WR (Round 7 – Year 1) <-traded for
Jordan Cameron, TE (Round 7 – Year 2)
Travis Kelce, TE (Round 11 – Year 1) <-traded for
Julius Thomas, TE (Round 15 – Year 2) <- traded for
Allen Robinson, WR (Round 20 – Year 1)

So far I added Todd Gurley (Round 2, trade), T.J. Yeldon (Round 2), Devante Parker (Round 4), Breshad Perriman (Round 5, trade), Dorial Green-Beckham (Round 5). I'm hoping that if everyone pans out, I have an awesome team a few years. As for QBs, the 3 to own (Marriota, Winston, Bradford) were all drafted before my first pick. :( Just hoping Cam stays healthy all year. Stupid 2QB possibilities.

What do you think? Oh, and just for the record, I put off DGB until my second 5th because I wasn't exactly sure I should take a chance, but what the hey, right? Also I'm thinking that when my next turn comes, which unfortunately isn't until Round 8 right now, I might be able to score RB Cameron Artis-Payne as a good backup for my two RBs because RBBC in Carolina. Oh, speaking of scoring, I included it below.

Offense isn't standard, 25 Yards per point for QB and return yards (10 for WR and RB), receptions are .5, kickers get 3 for between 1-39, 40-49 for 4 and 50+ for 5 and points are lost for interceptions and fumbles of -2.

Defense is 1 for tackles, .5 for assists. Sacks & interceptions are 3 each, with all other categories worth 2. All TDs both offense and defense are 6.

As always to the you and entire Razzball gang, thank you guys for all your articles! I try to read as much as I can, and even though I am not able to give thanks to each one, I do appreciate all the work and time you put into it. Keep it up.

@Dorian: Yeah, that’s a lot of young talent you infused into your roster. I’ve always been a fan of Newton and if he can stay healthy, no reason not to expect top-5 numbers. And yeah, I’d target a RB in that 8th. Love that Thomas value as well.

@Jay: Thanks for the reply! Glad to know I bought Cam at a low price. Also figured getting OJULIUS (thank you phone for the caps “correction”) was a good idea as Borts will likely use him well.

I’ll be extremely happy if everyone works out though. I could trade some player rights next off season. Maybe for a second QB.

Morning Jay. Glad to finally see this list! I use your rankings as my primary source and had a lot of success last year.

    Question time.
Will you be going over your ideal draft scenario or what tiers of players you are targeting for each position? I know you did a bit of that in each of the individual ranking articles, but was looking for a bit more if that is possible.

Is this current list for standard leagues?

My main league is a 16 team league. My plan is to really wait on the QB and TE positions taking whatever value I can late in the draft allowing me to load up on RBs and WRs. Thoughts on this strategy ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IV: Glad to hear! Yeah, I’ll make a post on that, a team that I’d draft based on each tier. Definitely.

And yes, this is standard rankings, PPR will be released all the the rest of this week.

I agree with that strat unless a value QB or TE falls in my lap.

Thanks for the lists. This is much needed help.

Do you prefer Gordon over Cooper long term.?

    • Jay

      Jay says:

      @S.H: Slightly in non-PPR. And you’re welcome!

  4. C.D. says:

So I miraculously ended up with a top 3 pick in a 16 team, dynasty league. Who would you be looking at as your top five dynasty players? I feel like a wideout is the way to go, but it’s a long way to wait for a RB.

    • Jay

      Jay says:

Honestly, I’d want either Bell or Beckham. Jeremy Hill might bet there too, but at a distance.

  5. Sam says:

    What up Jay,

Whats going on with the eagles backfield? With Murray, Mathews, and Sproles who all have been relevant RB’s over the past couple years. Is the depth in the backfield part of the reason you have Murray ranked so low? The guy almost single handily won me my league last year.

On another note I have the tenth pick in a ten man league and I know most of my competitors base solely off of ESPN predictions; which would leave Dez, Thomas, Hill, Forte (he keeps falling to me in mocks), and Odell. Which of the two would you pick if you wanted to go RB and WR with your first two picks or would you go with a different strategy? Thanks for the help and the post

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Sam: Two thoughts on that one. First, I feel like this is a legit RBBC situation. A lot of coaches and schemes have this, but there’s still usually a primary back. I think Chip will spreading the volume… a lot. Also, the past health of both backs is also something to consider.

If Beckham and Forte fall that far, I’m definitely comfortable with those two. A Dez/Hill combo would be great too.

    Hey Jay,

What’s your thoughts on Justin Hunter being arrested for likely stabbing someone? I’m guessing DGB’s chance to shine just went up several ticks, eh? Especially since Wisenhunt said that Hunter was on his last ropes.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Dorian: They had been trying Hunter out at the slot as well, he did have talent, but yeah, this isn’t looking good. When the next rankings come out (probably the WR PPR, all the WR rankings will be updated) and I’ll probably move Wright and Douglas up slightly, along with Green-Beckham.

Bouncing over here from the baseball section…thanks for the list!

The football coverage last season is what got me here for the baseball season.

    Couple of questions:

    1. Do you do a PPR list too?

    2. Any tips for a 3-year keeper league? I doing my first keeper league (3-years) this season and am trying to figure out where to start.

    Thanks again, Jay!

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@BambooLounge: Yeah, the PPR list should be coming out this week. Though, we’ve had some technical difficulties with FantasyPros. And for the second one, I’ll cover it with Tehol on the next podcast, it’s probably a big answer. Generally, talent and youth trumps everything.

    Hay Jay!
I am starting a dynasty league this season and was wondering if you had any recommendation for a good site to use? Thanks man and I appreciate the rankings!

  9. Nate says:

Hi Jay, as with the rest of these ranking pieces, a big thanks for taking the time to put them all together. Definitely a key component in my draft prep.

Wondering if you could help me with a keeper question and judging from your ranks, this one might perplex you as much as it has me.

Need one for a one-keeper 10-team half-PPR: Eddie Lacy or Antonio Brown?

Look forward to your opinion and thanks for the help!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Nate: thanks! Tough one, I’m tempted to go Lacy, but I think long term, Brown will provide more value. Super close though.

as a Giants fan, well versed in the Eli hate (some deserved, much not), but ranking Eli below Teddy Bridgewater?!?

    come on…

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@jbones: I’m not sure it’s hate. I just see him as a volatile option, and I’m really big on Bridgewater this season. They’re close, but I’d rather have a possible upside play on the back-end of top-12 QB’s.

  11. FreeDiRo says:

In a keeper league that is PPR, would you trade Dez for any one of the top 6 RBs on your list? My other keepers would be AJ Green and Edelman. The only RB worth considering keeping is McFadden and that scares me.

  12. Steve says:
    (link)

    Hey Jay,

I have to keep 3 of the following:

Drew Brees, Emmanuel Sanders, Alshon Jeffery, Demaryius Thomas, Brandin Cooks, and Mark Ingram

    6 points per passing TD
    Full PPR
    .25 per carry

    What do you think?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Steve: Tough set man. I’d probably go Brees, Jeffery, and Thomas.

I would like to see the tier rankings in actual tiers like you do the QB, RB, WR and TE’s. Also would like to see 1 sheet that you usually have had in the past that shows all the positions and tiers on 1 page.
