Running back is arguably the most talked-about position in our fantasy football universe, and well… this offseason is really shakin’ things up at such a pivotal position. Let’s dive right in and see how key running back transactions are reshaping the landscape of the game we love so much.  Miles Sanders, Carolina Panthers: He did […]

Last week my top free agent quarterback piece was headlined by Lamar Jackson, Tom Brady and the new legend Daniel Jones, who probably earned himself additional millions with yesterday’s impressive playoff performance in a dramatic victory over the more-talented Minnesota Vikings. And why not stick with that Giants’ thread since they are the talk of […]

Sometimes I wonder why we even worry about injury reports. Take Thursday Night Football for example — two teams that were as healthy as could be. Even the miraculous “got shot 2 months ago and is already the starting RB Brian Robinson” was there. And what did we get for Amazon’s 11 billion dollar investment in TNF? The Commanders topping the Bears in the most baseball-like 12-7 game you could imagine. Bookies literally paid out the under at the start of the 4th quarter — they didn’t even wait for the end of the game. Carson Wentz with a field of healthy receivers against the freaking Chicago Bears couldn’t top 100 yards passing. Like, who cares about injuries if the freaking starters aren’t even playing. We all saw the Justin Fields meme of him literally meditating and checking out in the middle of the game.

Namaste, friends. Seek the center.

So let’s consider the power of change, and see what we can do for all of you who are missing essential players this week.

There was some stat floating around the internet that caught my eye, much like that YouTube video that explains in excruciating detail the sharpest tuna-cutting knife on David Attenborough’s Planet Earth. Now that I’ve lost you in 8 sub-clauses and some exciting tuna talk, I’ll reveal the stat: The Detroit Lions — yes, the Motor City Kitties — were the top-scoring team in the league and had only one win to show for it. Your fantasy teams squealed in delight as Jared Goff and Jamaal Williams — your pre-season all-stars, right? — racked up points and millions of bucks for DFS teams. This week, the Lions faced the Patriots, helmed by the esteemed backup to the backup Bailey Zappe. Shoulda been a slam dunk, right? Well, 161 ground yards by Rhamondre Stevenson later, the Lions got shut out, and Zappe got his first career win, a mere week after nearly felling the great ayahuasca plant that is Aaron Rodgers.

I am here with your weekly DFS focused article laying out my favorite options to target at each position for the Sunday DFS main slate. This article goes position by position, giving you my favorite pay up option and my favorite pay down or dart throw option at each position to help you build out a winning DFS lineup. I will be using DraftKings pricing as a point of reference to seek out some values, and the goal will be to help you “double up” in a 50/50 cash game with solid plays.

The position that has undergone the most upheaval in fantasy football is running back. I have watched the RB position go from 25 three-down RBs to 15 three-down backs, and now we’re down to what, five? Using your first two fantasy draft picks on RBs is no longer an automatic gambit. Whether we call it a “timeshare,” “committee,” or “split” backfield, more RBs are getting involved. With this development in mind, I employ a scattershot approach to the position. Use the net and leave the pole at home when fishing for runningbacks. I will attempt to accommodate my recommended approach by providing a list of 120 runningbacks by rank. Let us begin with the top 40. If you’re curious about descriptions for the first 17 runningbacks, check out these articles ( Top 10 for 2022Top 25 2022Top 40 2022).

In a year where league champs may have started more than 1 player that they grabbed from the wire just to have a starter, Donkey Teeth and I discuss a bunch of players that won leagues and whether we believe in them for 2022. We start with the RBs and look at guys such as: Rashaad Penny, D’onta Foreman, and Darrel Williams to explore whether we believe they are worth acquiring this off-season. On the higher end, we look at Devin Singletary, A.J. Dillon, and Elijah Mitchell.

We move on to the WRs and explore end of season stud Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Bears favorite, Darnell Mooney. Then, we explore some less heralded WRs that popped up at the end of the year. We only discuss one tight end’s end of year performance, and that’s the talented, but underperforming, Noah Fant.

Before we head out, B_Don breaks down some numbers from the end of season finishes at each position. Then, we explain how those positional point distributions affect our draft strategy.

B_Don brings back JB Barry to fill in and get you ready for your championship week. We discuss the week 17 and dynasty rankings of some young WRs. From the return of A.J. Brown to Amon-Ra St. Brown to the Alabama WRs, and where they fall among dynasty WRs.

With week 17 upon us, how are the guys approaching some of the week 16 performers at RB like Rex Burkhead, Chase Edmonds, Rashaad Penny, and Razzball’s second son, Dare Ogunbowale. At the end of the show, we talk about some of the potential weather and what games we may be on the look out for before we give you our “A**hole of the Week!”

Congratulations! If you are reading this, you have either reached the playoffs or are married to me and are forced to read this article every single week even though you do not even watch football. Let us focus on you the fantasy football playoff contender and not my wife, the patient and selfless backbone of this humble fantasy analyst. So, you’ve made it and chances are your roster is already nicely filled out and ready to compete. If not though, I will still be here for the next three weeks helping you fill-in holes or blocking your league mates from doing the same. Even Rocky needed Mick after he won the title, James Bond needed Q, and Crash Davis needed Annie Savoy who seriously, let us talk for a second: Annie Savoy? Chef’s Kiss! Anyways, congrats again on making it to the playoffs. Now let’s go!
