In the preseason fantasy football top 150 PPR rankings “The Trilogy” aka 3.0, we continue to evaluate the latest organized team activities (OTA) and minicamp news to see which players should rise and fall up our draft boards. The chart below includes the latest top 150 for point-per-reception (PPR) leagues based on a starting lineup of one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, and a flex. If your league has a different lineup build i.e. only two wide receivers, running backs might move up while wide receivers might fall in the top 150.  Finally, we included five rankings’ risers from our previous rankings a few weeks ago.

Rankings Risers

Player: Jaylen Waddle
Updated Overall Ranking: 23 (+6)

The Tua Tagovailoa injury impacted Jaylen Waddle more than any other player on the Dolphins in 2022. In the games with Tua, Waddle averaged a solid 17.7 PPR PPG. In the games without Tua, Waddle’s PPG drops to 9.7. If Tua can stay on the field in 2023, Waddle’s production from last season would put him inside the top 10 for wide receivers.

Player: Mike Williams
Updated Overall Ranking: 45 (+12)

Mike Williams had trouble staying on the field in 2022, but when he was active he was productive. Williams left two games early last season, but if we were to remove those two games his PPG would jump to 15.2. This includes eight of 11 games with double-digit fantasy points. Both of those marks would have put Williams well inside the top 20 wide receivers last season.

Player: Christian Kirk
Updated Overall Ranking: 68 (+29)

With Calvin Ridley set to return, the question becomes will Christian Kirk be able to keep up his production as the potential number 2 this season. After further review, a couple of things are working in his favor to replicate his production. First, the Jaguars vacated 113 targets that Ridley can absorb. Next, when Doug Pederson was the Head Coach for the Eagles his teams dropped back to pass on average 51 more times per season. This additional projected pass volume should allow Ridley to flirt with between 130-140 targets without a major impact to Kirk who finished as a top 20 wide receiver in PPR PPG in 2022.

Player: George Pickens
Updated Overall Ranking: 69 (+34)

In 13 games with Kenny Pickett last season, George Pickens was by far the most productive receiver for fantasy football. Pickens outscored both Pat Freirmuth and Diontae Johnson averaging 11.2 PPR PPG. More impressive was he did that on just 5.2 targets per game. If Pickens receives just one more target per game (which is only a 17-game pace of 105 targets) his PPG would jump to 13.4 PPR PPG. That production would have made Pickens a high-end WR3 in 2022.

Player: Tyler Higbee
Updated Overall Ranking: 105 (+30)

Before injuries to Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp derailed the Rams’ 2022 season, Tyler Higbee was on his way to crushing his career-high in targets. His fantasy stats don’t jump off the page in his eight games with Stafford, but he averaged a solid 8.4 PPR PPG without scoring a single touchdown. If we apply his career touchdown rate to his targets during that stretch his PPG jumps to 9.8. That production would have made Higbee a top-12 tight end last season.
