Where have all the flowers gone? No, not Brandon Flowers! The fantasy season is excruciatingly close to the end and each week brings us something new and painful to deal with on our teams.  Let’s hope that things go at least a little closer to the way we planned for them than they usually do.  And let’s hope Tom Terrific can keep his hair out of his face long enough to get some Manning Face.

Here are some helpful and not so helpful links for this week in the National Football League —

For those of you with 49er or Buccaneer players in the passing game, the forecast is calling for wind and rain.  I try not to change my decisions too drastically based on weather, but if you have a tossup kind of choice, go with the player in the better conditions.

As usual, you need to take a look at Evan Silva’s Matchups article over at Rotoworld.

And Carl takes on Fat Albert —

  1. Jim says:

    So would you start Nate Washington over Mike Williams (TB)? Or keep Williams in?

  2. dani says:

    Boldin or M.Thomas with MSW being out vs a weak clev. secondary?
    and Felix Jones or Turf Toe Best? thanks

  3. Wilsonian says:

    0.5 PPR, are you still starting Colston over Boldin and would you still start McCoy over Felix?

    I’m liking the holes in Detroit’s Run D, and the NYG Run D is pretty tough.

    Also, leave in Buc Williams or either sub in Hines for him, or put Austin (who’s in my flex) in for him and play Blount in flex?

    Thanks as always for the last minute help. Going to be on the road to go see my boy Rowdy Roddy light up the STL secondary, may he get 40 points for me!

  4. MikeD says:

    Which one: Mike Goodson, BJGE, Tomlinson? I feel like Goodson has to get tons of work; so I sort of want him.

  5. friar says:

    Hey Doc, I need some last minute lineup advice. How would you select 2 RB, 2 WR, and a flex from: McCoy, BGE, K. Williams, AJ, Austin, Bowe, and Floyd. Thanks!

  6. Broadstreetbrawler says:

    1 PPR, pick 3 WR’s (jennings and jackson probably a lock)

    Greg Jennings
    Desean Jackson
    Percy Harvin
    Mike Thomas
    Danny Amendola
    Steve Carolina smith

  7. Stumanji says:

    Crabtree, Breaston, Burleson, or Louis Murphy?

  8. Art Vandelay says:

    Team in shambles, need to pick 2 mediocre guys to start:

    Welker, Goodson, K. Williams, Donald Brown

  9. Child Please says:

    .5 PPR, McFadden or Jones?

  10. Child Please says:

    Felix Jones*

  11. timmy riggins says:

    Doc: Hi, have some lineup questions….thanks in advance

    1. Are you worried about Flacco since Car is starting a random schmohawk at QB so the Ravens should be up by a lot early? Similarly, do you think this will negatively effect Rice? If theyre up big early they just might use McGahee, right? Would you actually start Kitna over Flacco if youre vying for the playoffs?

    2. Who’d you start as flex? (.5ppr): Crabtree, Mike Thomas, Felix Jones, BJGE (brackett out).

    3. Who’d you start as QB2?: Freeman, VY, Schaub

    Thanks again

  12. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Jim: That’s a tough one. I think I’d stick with Williams, but if you are wanting to play it safe I’d go Washington.

    @dani: Jones and Boldin

    @Wilsonian: I just don’t trust Jones yet. I’d stick with McCoy. But Jones does have more upside if you are feeling risky. I’d stick with Colston, but I do think I’d go with Austin and Blount.

    @MikeD: I have a pretty good feeling the Law Firm will get into the endzone.

    @friar: McCoy, BGE, AJ, Austin, Bowe,

    @Broadstreetbrawler: I’d go with your top 3

    @Stumanji: I think I’d still lean Crabs

    @Art Vandelay: Brown, Williams

    @Child Please: Hard to sit DMC

  13. rak says:

    last minute help. Pick two: Bradshaw, Tolbert, F. Jackson. Am I being crazy in thinking about sitting Bradshaw or is that just the eagles fan in me?

  14. Howie says:

    @Doc: When were the positional rankings updated? Assuming this morning, is that a normal Sunday routine for you?

    Also…I see you are down on Orton. Won’t he be throwing a bunch today or do you see the Broncos running on the Chargers?

  15. Doc

    Doc says:

    @timmy riggins: I’d lean Kitna, Law firm, VY

    @rak: I’d go Bradshaw/Tolbert

  16. CL says:

    mcfadden or moreno? thanks!

  17. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Howie: I actually don’t feel that bad about Orton. I like SD pass D, but I do think it could be a high scoring game.

    I update it when I can. Just depends.

  18. CL says:

    by the way, PPR on mcfadden or moreno…

  19. corey says:

    Should I start Mark (Dirty) Sanchez or Vince Young this week?

  20. DJSatane says:

    your weekly week 11 rankings do not open, that applet does not load at all off that host site.

  21. Doc

    Doc says:

    Nnamdi Asomugha (ankle) is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

    Feel much better about the Steelers passing game

  22. nick m. says:

    Please pick a total of 4 for: two WR slots, one RB slot, and one RB/WR slot – Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Blount, Best, Reggie Bush, Woodhead? Thanks!

  23. Nonstoptalk says:

    10 Team .5 PPR

    I have Hines Ward or Steve Smith (CAR) to start as my third reciever this week. I’m a little worried about both of them although I’m leaning Ward even with the concussion. Who would you go with or would it be worth picking up any of the following for a spot start?

    A. Armstrong
    B. Tate
    J. Jones
    E. Doucet
    R. Meachem
    D. Henderson
    A. Benn
    R. Williams
    J. Gage

    Thanks In Advance Doc

  24. nick m. says:

    …it is a PPR, sorry.

  25. Doc

    Doc says:

    @DJSatane: Ugh, sorry about that.

  26. Doc

    Doc says:

    @nick m.: Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Blount, Reggie Bush

    @Nonstoptalk: I’d go with Ward

  27. Doc

    Doc says:

    @CL: Moreno

    @corey: Sanchez

  28. Joel says:

    Doc: in non-ppr, would you rather start collie or garcon?

  29. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Joel: Garcon

  30. JackInTheBox says:

    Little help guys?

    Pick 2: McFadden, Moreno, F. Jax….

    I have it Moreno and F. Jax as that Steeler defense is stifling against the run Cin is giving up 115/per game to rushers.

  31. JackInTheBox says:

    That’s non-ppr, btw

  32. JackInTheBox says:

    @Doc: Thanks. I suggest that everyone else play Run DMC because he’s about to go off on my bench.

  33. Howie says:

    @Doc: non-PPR… at TE- Hernandez or the talk of NO, Jimmy Graham?

  34. Dingo says:

    Doc, greene or best? Mcmichael or gronkowski?

  35. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Dingo: Greene, Gronk unless you own Gates

    @Howie: Graham

  36. Dingo says:

    Is it crazy to start hill over orton, I read sd is good against pass

  37. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Dingo: I’m leaning Hill, but it is risky.

  38. Doc

    Doc says:

    Good luck all!

  39. timmy riggins says:

    @Doc: whats going on with JC superstar today? 0 carries so far

  40. timmy riggins says:

  41. Wilsonian says:

    Keller is DEAD to me! I gave him one more chance and he screwed the pooch. Who’s the pickup?

    Aher or Gronk v the Lions on Thanksgiving?
    Carl Winslow?

    I get no production out of my TE, I just need some damn catches with occasional TD, who do I look to?

  42. LMack says:

    Congrats on your accuracy as judged by FantasyPros. They run a pretty good site over there, liked reading your playoff sleepers and your shameless plug for Beanie Wells

  43. Doc

    Doc says:

    @Wilsonian: Yeah, he’s dead to me as well. I’ll have to look at the matchups, but I like Cooley right now.

    @LMack: Thanks, yeah. Going down with the ship.

  44. LMack says:

    Like a true captain does.

  45. Wilsonian says:

    @Doc: Cooley is v. the fightin’ Favres next week;

    the Pats are against the Motor City Kitties on T-giving;

    Carl Winslow is @ the Ravens;

    Dreesen is v. Tenn, just for a primer on the matchups.

    Probably leaning Cooley, just wish the dood would find the endzone, but at least he gets some catches unlike someone else who’s currently rostered until tomorrow morning.
