Here we are everyone, the beginning of week one.  Most of us have completed our drafts and are looking forward to Thursday’s game.  There are still those pondering changes and wondering if there are better options out there than their current rosters.  Let’s look to Yahoo Fantasy Football to see who the hot adds and drops are up to this point (September 1st).

Cody Parkey, 13% owned – Cody who?  Yes, this is the new kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles.  Many of you probably do not know this but Alex Henery was released yesterday to make way for this new guy.  Mr. Parkey has been added 19,877 times today and it is probably because of the Eagles ability to score.  I would wait to see how he fares in his first week before even considering him.  Although, I have to say that I drafted Brandon McManus from the Broncos (at least for the first four weeks) because I know of the opportunities that lie ahead.

Travis Kelce, 21% owned – This is more like it.  The Chiefs have been without a playmaking tight end since Tony Gonzalez left town for Atlanta.  Kelce has been added over 10,000 times today across all Yahoo fantasy leagues and it could be for good reason.  He should be a sizable part of Alex Smith’s offense.  He is a big play type TE and provides the Chiefs with a receiving weapon (and is the reason they did not pursue any big name receivers in the off-season).

Derek Carr, 5% owned – It was announced today that Carr would get the keys to the Oakland offense in place of Matt Schaub.  What can we expect from Carr?  Who knows, but at least he is getting the opportunity t0 play.  It is obvious that the Oakland coaching staff didn’t see much in Matt Schaub in the preseason (neither did the rest of the world).  He was added 9.739 times today – man are there some pathetic fantasy rosters out there!

Matt Prater, 59% owned – I get it people, don’t roster more than one kicker.  I don’t get it people, not rostering Matt Prater over speculative late round adds.  If I had an extra spot (which I might shortly) in any of my fantasy leagues, Prater would take it.  Dude can crush the ball and he kicks in bad weather.  He was dropped in over 8,000 leagues today alone.  Someone is going to snatch him up off the waiver wire before his suspension ends…. and it might just be me.

Terrance West, 47% owned – Woah, talk about a bad turn for a guy who was projected to take the starting job from Ben Tate this season.  Coach Mike Pettine has officially placed West in the dawghouse and it isn’t pretty.  In his last preseason game, West gained 13 (yes, 13) yards on six carries, fumbled, and had no passing targets.  We all know how prolific the Browns’ offense will be this season… stay far away from this guy.

Knowshon Moreno, 68% owned – Really, only 68%?  He was added 4,483 times today and it is for good reason.  A local Miami newspaper (The Miami Herald) mentioned that he is the “clear cut starter” for the Phins as they face off against the Patriots this weekend.  I was a bit surprised to see that he had less than 70% ownership, especially because Lamar Miller is no all-pro.  Add this guy if you can – it is worth the gamble for a possible RB1.
