Week 2 of FanDuel was a pretty good one for me in the FanDuel Writer’s League.  I finished 8th overall in the Fantasy Football Championship league which gave me 70 toad hides to pocket (they’re dry, don’t worry), but it also put me in the lead of the writer’s league, which if I win, would give me a trip to Vegas Baby! Where I am assuming I would be so money.  Here’s my week 2 team. I would like to thank Mason Crosby for his leg.

If you want to join up I think it’s 10 bucks, but if you click through here, you get a 5 dollar bonus.  The Championship League has weekly prizes for the top 10 teams and there have been around 500 teams each week so far.  If you aren’t into the big championship league you can go head to head with other fans, hence the “FanDuel” name.

We get 60,000 to spend at our leisure. I ended with 0 dollars so that’s either a good thing or a bad thing.  Here is my first attempt at my week 3 team —

QB Michael Vick (PHI @ JAC): The Jags pass defense is weak and Vick is wanting to prove he deserves the starting job.  As long as Vick is the 13th ranked QB I’ll use him to shift money elsewhere.

RB Pierre Thomas (NO v ATL): With Bush gone I expect Thomas to get a lot of work.  The Falcons have given up 2 long TD runs.  Lets see if they can do it again.

RB Ray Rice (BAL v CLE): Rice has been bottled up a little this season, but he hasn’t looked bad at all.  The Ravens need to beat the Browns at home to keep from going 1-2.  I think they’ll be ready to go.

WR Miles Austin (DAL @ HOU): Austin has been the lone bright spot for the Cowboys and Houston just gave up a boat load of yards against McNabb.  This could be a high scoring game.

WR Hakeem Nicks (NYG v TEN): He isn’t on the practice report and should be able to go fully against Tennessee, whose D is highly ranked right now due to Jason Campbell, Dennis Dixon, and Charlie Batch.

WR Santana Moss (WAS @ STL): Washington has absolutely no rushing game right now, so we will see McNabb to Moss a lot against the poor St. Louis pass D.

TE Dallas Clark (IND @ DEN): With no Champ Bailey the Broncos pass D will need to double Reggie Wayne and leave Clark in one on one situations against LBs for Clark.

K Ryan Longwell (MIN v DET): Longwell hasn’t had many opportunities with the sad state of the Vikings offense, but Detroit makes living a lot easier.

D New England Patriots (NE v BUF): Ryan Fitzpatrick is more apt to take risks. That’s good news for the New England defense.
