What’s the saying again?  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  Or, should I say, Foles me once and twice.  Last time I picked Nick Foles as a streamer, he kind of spit the bed, if you will.  Now, it’s tempting to go with him again in Green Bay, as the opposing quarterback puts up good fantasy numbers be default thanks to Aaron Rodgers being locked in at home. But no.  Not this time, though I would consider him if I needed someone. This week, both of the top streamer quarterbacks come from the same game in Kansas City.  Let’s get right to it, shall we?

Quarterbacks

Jay Cutler (33%) at Kansas City — Smoking Jay Cutler made his return last week and had a solid performance.  Personally, I’ve sworn Cutler off as being pretty much dead to me.  I owned him in seven of the eight leagues I was in last year, and I was left scrambling down the stretch.  But this matchup is too good to pass up, as the Chiefs give up the most points to opposing quarterbacks in the league.  For one week and one week only, I’m rolling out Cutler.

I’d start Cutler over: Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith.

I’d sit Cutler for: Marcus Mariota, Sam Bradford, Tyrod Taylor.

Alex Smith (37%) vs. Chicago — Facing Cutler on the other sideline will be game manager Alex Smith, who has at least 17 points in three of his four games this season.  As bad as the Chiefs are, the Bears are right up there with them.  Plus, Smith has discovered that Jeremy Maclin plays for his team now.

I’d start Smith over: Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Matthew Stafford.

I’d sit Smith for: Jay Cutler, Marcus Mariota, Tyrod Taylor.

How did I do last week?

Derek Carr — 12.84 fantasy points. 20-33, 196 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyrod Taylor — 15.46 fantasy points. 28-42, 274 yards and one touchdown.

Tight Ends

Richard Rodgers (39%) vs. Rams — Davante Adams?  Nah.  Ty Montgomery?  No thanks.  Richard Rodgers?  Step on up.  Rodgers is a borderline tight end 1 this week, as he showed promise last week against San Francisco.  He does, after all, have Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.

I’d start Rodgers over: Garrett Celek, Crockett Gillmore, Gary Barnidge.

I’d sit Rodgers for: Delanie Walker, Antonio Gates, Owen Daniels.

Virgil Green (0%) at Oakland — Now, stay with me, this is a Hail Mary play.  It’s a GPP play or a play in 14-team leagues or bigger.  We know that tight ends own the Raiders.  We think it’s going to be Owen Daniels, but Virgil Green could be the beneficiary.

I’d start Green over: Timothy Wright, Derek Carrier, Ladarius Green.

I’d sit Green for: Everyone else.

How did I do last week?

Charles Clay — 15.60 fantasy points. Nine receptions, 111 yards.

Eric Ebron — 3.20 fantasy points. Injured early.

Kicker and Defense & Special Teams

Chandler Catanzaro (27%) at Detroit — He’s up 13 percent from last week when he was my stream of the week (17 fantasy points).  He needs to be owned more throughout fantasy leagues.  He’s indoors again this week on a high-scoring offense.

New York Giants (60%) vs. 49ers — Popular streamer this week, as they are up 54 percent since waivers cleared.  Also look at an Atlanta defense facing Washington.

I’d start the Giants over: Packers, Seahawks, Falcons.

I’d sit the Giants for: Patriots, Bills, Bengals.

How did I do last week?

San Diego — Six points.
